We have been blessed today, Nathan arrived home safe and sound. Thank you all for your prayers, card and packages you sent to him while he was deployed.

Tamie - That is great news that Nathan is headed home. I understand your concern and worry. It took my son about six days to actually get home. During that time, communication was lacking and what I did get was vague on purpose. They really don't want to risk anyone knowing their movements while traveling for safety reasons. I continue to stay tuned to the news there even though my son got home in August. I'm praying Nathan gets home quickly and safely. Good time to get out of there!!!

good morning all!
Well, I am again asking for your prayers. My daughter is expecting her 3rd daughter in March. Her bloodwork showed problems. She saw a specialist and the baby's small intestines are growing through a hole in her tummy, so are on the outside of her,it's called gastroschisis. It can be corrected with surgery after she is born and grows , can take 3 weeks to 3 mos, so she will be big enough for them will fit into her little tummy, can't do it to soon are she will not survive. But, she may also have Downs Syndrome. We will know more after another ultrsound and amnio on Nov. 3rd. So please pray for healing on this precious little one for us!
Thanks for being a great support and shoulder for so many things.

Cheryl, thank you. I too, keep you and your family in my prayers. I cannot image how hard the summer has been for you, don't let coming holidays overwhelm you. Keep those memories at heart, traditions continued.... and know someday you will be reunited in heaven! Only the love and grace of the Lord can ease your heavy heart and in time you can remember with joyful tears. Look ahead to the return of Michael and rejoice! You are a strong lady I admire you.

Tami, Congratulations to you for a job well done as a parent. Your sons are on my prayer list.
Again I thank you all for your support. Life has a very empty spot for us but we are busy continuing to support our guys as the holidays approach. They hope to return in Feb.

This has been a very quiet place! My computer quit this spring so am borrowing when I can. We'll I figure no news is good news, as they say!
Our son , Nathan, is due to be home mid November from Afghanistan.
We pray for his safe return, as well as all the other troops.
We have another son Joel, who has joined the Marines, he goes to basic Feb. 2,2010. He will be in San Diego. He was determined to join. We homeschool and the Marines were not happy with that. They gave him a very hard time over it we had to jump through many hoops for them. But, after taking the ASVAB, he scored in the top 10%! They were more then happy ot accept him! We are so very proud of our boys!
I hope everyone out there is doing well and and your loved ones will be home safe and sound soon.

You all are such a very special bunch of women! Thank you. Michael made it safely back to his base camp the day before yesterday. His captain said yesterday that it was a quiet day. Michaels captain and unit have been so supportive with e-mails, flowers and comfort basket. They have given back so greatly. What lucky ladies we are to have such honorable young men and women to not only protect us but support us too in our personal losses.
My friend, little Gwen and myself went shopping agian so off to the post office we go.
I cried when I hugged my son, and grandma had a fit as he has no meat on his bones. We tried to fix the problem with his favorite rhubarb cake and lots of other goodies. When he got back to Texas, Mary, my granddaughter took over.'\
Thank you again, for being there for us all!!
