Are all WalMarts loosing fabric? Scary!! I ordered via Rustic Threads today (snowmen patterns) and had a glitch with PayPal. Wrote to Sarah and she fixed immediately and communicated well. Nice gal! Anxious to get my patterns.

Thanks for the info....I still am in shock over Wal-mart removing the fabric and most of the crafting department. I have been to several Illinois stores and it is gone. Thanks again

Thanks for the info Yvonne - our Wal-mart is losing its fabric department soon so I'm glad to know about the homespuns!

I used to go to wal-mart for homespun. They had the best choices and colors. Wal-mart in our area and I assume everywhere else is no longer carrying fabrics which of course was my place to get homespun fabric. Where do you get your homespun fabric and what is the best and least expensive website for it?

Hi Ya'll - Yvonne's suggestion for looking at primitivegatherings.us was great! Now my wish list is about 4 feet long! I found another good one - it is case sensitive so you have to type it just so www.PumpkinPatchPrimitives.com.

Hey you guys......for those of you who like to do hand stitcheries.....check out this website for her new pattern of a Mitten with snowmen! It's adorable....I've already ordered it and can't wait to get stitching on it. www.rusticthreads.com Go to New Patterns and scroll down a bit. :-)

Hi Renee...Primitive and folkart do kind of go hand in hand. Folkart got its name as an art of: something usually done by an unskilled person. The object did the job but was not always perfect or manufactured. Therefore (in the olden days-hehe) the items were usually very primitive. In quilting....the quilts are mostly darker fabrics.....in crafts, like stitcherys, dolls pillows I usually stain them to make them look older. I'll send you some websites that carry and show the more primitive look so you can get a better idea than I explained maybe, and maybe others in our group can fill you in with their expanation. Happy sewing!!!
