Hello Everyone! This group is for those who like primitive, not necessarily country, quilting and handwork. It is my hope that we can encourage one another in our endevours as well as swap patterns. Drop in and tell everyone what you are working on that is primitive!

Hi all! Just thought I would drop by and meet you! I love primitive anything. I don't have a lot of it in decorating my home but would love to do more once I have more money in my life!

Whimsicals, Jan Patek, Linda Brannock and Gerry Kimmel all have wonderful patterns. I am excited to see what everyone is working one. I have now added four more things to do, because the eighteen things I am working now are not enough LOL's. Lori

Howdy Carol - SO glad you found me!!! Please tell all of us what you are working on and what you'd like to do next that is primitive! We would all love to see pictures of your wooden items - would you mind sharing those?

Welcome! I'm so glad that you are joining us! Glad you liked the mountainpatchwork.com - I just recently saw them in a quilt store and immediately went home and checked out their site! I hope that with all of us we can share sites, patterns, etc. to encourage one another! Tell us what you are working on now and what you'd like to do! Kelli

I too love primitive items. I am excited to see and share with everyone. I do love adding embroidery to quilts. I went to mountain patchwork and love some of their patterns. Would love to see some of your items. I wish I could afford the Australian magazines you are talking about. I have five or six of them and love their patterns.

Yeaaaaaa.....I love everything primitive. Friends think I'm a bit wacky when I sew something and then PURPOSELY stain it to make it look old and used, my favorite thing to do. Hope we can share lots of fun and ideas.

Hi Yvonne - I'm so glad you are going to "join" us! I was browsing through your photos on your page - I'm in love with quite a few! I'll have to narrow it down and write you back :) Are you familiar at all with Australian Country Threads or Australian Homespun Magazines? They have a lot of quilts with primitive stitching. I also found a website www.mountainpatchwork.com that is great! Looking forward to chatting further!
