Have been watching this group for quite a while, since it is like the "Love of Art" quilts. I do love all the projects you members have done, now what are you working on?
Royce, good to see you here, if I remember right you dyed some orange fabric, I may need to borrow some for my "Butterfly Quilt".

Thank you.

Welcome, Deborah. We seem to be a quiet group here, but this IS a good way to see who else is making smaller quilts. I sure enjoyed looking through your photos.

Hi, all. May I join you? Just about every quilt I've made is wall size or less. I've got pix on my page. I just don't have the time or space for a ton of bed size quilts. Besides, the thought of spending all that time and effort (not to mention $$) into making a quilt that our dog will jump up on sends shivers down my spine!

Thanks, Royce and Gwen. And yes, Gwen, I 'steam a seamed' the letters on, just as I would an applique piece. The cool part, to me, is the variety of fonts available on the web. I googled free fonts, found a good website, then looked through all the fonts they had, til I found what I considered the 'perfect' one for this project. Then, download the font, type your names in Word, print, and you have your 'pattern/template' for the steam a seam and fabric. Very easy and the possibilities are endless. Thanks for commenting!

I ditto Royce...wonderful pieces from Santa to the stockings! Bethlehem Star really makes the project 'pop'!

Oh Joanne these are beautiful. The wall hanging is a lot of work but very nice. I love the antlers on the deers. The stockings are very nice. How did you do the lettering? Cut out and press on with something like steam-a-seam? You lettering looks great. I tried to make some stockings and they were "limp". I guess I should have put interfacing or quilted them. Live and learn.

Here are two Christmas projects I've done. Extended family members loved the stockings so much they put in orders for their families for this Christmas. A fun, easy, personalized gift and a winner! The Santa Time wall hanging is strictly for my family. It was tons of work for me since I was learning machine applique at the time. But worth it. I love this pattern, which I personalized by adding the Star of Bethlehem to it.

I have a couple of Xmas hangings on my site. I have been making ornaments for years and I find that the people I give them to treasure them for years. I have also made some tiny Xmas quilts that will fit into a 7x9 mailing envelope that have received good response.
I haven't added anything to my site for sometime, prehaps I will take time from my current project and copy some of those I still have samples of to my site.
