Have y'all moved away? Almost 5 months without a comment! I've been busy making quilt tops. Now have to find someone to qui;t them. My hands have given out so no ore hand quilting for me, or at least just little bits. My sweet girls are growing like weeds, 4 and 5 months old already. They both look like their fathers! Another one is on the way. Oldest grndson and wife are expecting a boy in August.
I'm off to a retreat next week. We usually go for a long weekend, but this one is a full week. I hope to get lots done!
Our youngest son retired from the Navy a year ago. They returned to Pensacola and bought a house. Then in November they decided they had made a big mistake. Pensacola was boring, and their friends were also boring! They sold the house in 15 minutes after it hit multiple listing, and moved back to D.C. Tom has a job with a govt. contractor and works in the Pentagon. He's right at home again! They love the excitement of Washington...never a dull moment! Plus they missed their church and Laura's brother and family are near by.
That brings you up to date with me. What is everyone else doing?
Congratulations Navy Wife on two new great-grandchildren, that is a blessing. Love and enjoy them.
Robin, are you going to the Christmas Party on the 6th? I am as I have a friend who is going to pick me up. Looking forward to it.
Scarlett Rose Peck arrived Tuesday at 7:30 PM. She weighs 7lb 9oz,and is 19 inches long. I hope that is all for now. Mary Heath is in Atlanta and Scarlett is in Huntsville, AL. We'll be off to FL in about a month.
How exciting Linda! I hope she lives close to you .
I have news. Mary Heath Reynolds arrived Thursday at 11:20 PM. She's 19 in. and 7 lb 1 oz. My 1st great grandchild! Second one is due in a month.
Ah, the beach! Jealousy here. Hope you have a safe trip home!
Greetings from a warm Myrtle Beach - at least over the weekend anyway_ when I get up in the AM the cold front that you guys have been dealing with will have descended on here but I will be heading back home.
It sure is raining! We've had 2 inches and still coming down. I'm coming up to your country tomorrow, but won't have time to shop. I have a friend from Australia who is home visiting her sister in Kingsport. I'm picking her up tomorrow and we're heading to Branson for a retreat. Trish hasn't been to a retreat before, so I think we'll have a great time. There will be 60 of us, so we'll have lots of company! My buddy from FL is rooming with us in a 2 BR condo. Maybe we can get together later in the fall.
Hi everyone! Thank God, the children are back in school! I've been busy at home lately, trying to catch up on the computer, design more patterns, do more (less) housework...today it is out for errands after I do a bit of a workout. Supposed to rain a lot this afternoon/evening. Will prbably rain out our soccer game. Oh well!
Lois there is a meeting coming up this Thursday at 6pm.
