thankyou for the welcome quiltingmama.
seems there is plenty of starwars, batman, spiderman, etc fabrics, but do not see many , if any for a game fabric. so guess that is where the talent of creating your own comes in, my one son is into golf, football, call of duty, so think those are easy enought o come up with something. but other son is into resident evil, skyrim, etc. so hard to think up ideas,

I think it counts, welcome.

do not know if it counts, have 2 sons in the games, X-box 360 systems, and my DH watches music shows all the time, so need my own get away, have been learning to quilt for about 2 years now, still have long way to go yet, started just making quilt tops and selling them, now am making potholders and top stitch and add batting myself, maybe some day soon will move on to bigger items that finish quilting myself.

love your chats about making a quilt for a game one loves, neat ideas..

Sorry it's not what you need.  Could alter it and use it?  Or alter a spiders web pp pattern?   I'm always adding and tweeking my patterns, even pp.  I think Carol Doak has a tutorial on creating a pp pattern.  Maybe alter a I just keep going back to that because that design has a lot of intersecting points and pp is so good at keeping them in place and looking good.

thank you Shawn.. didnt think of that but i am going to make mine a little different than that way.. i am gonna try to get it as close to his tattoo.. i will post pics when i get them going and then when i finish it.. my other son wants a gears of war quilt but i cant find any fabric except for some silk cotton posters so i thought maybe order some of those and put some muslin backing under them then the batting and then some backing fabric...  also looking for nice stars wars fabric to make some quilts for two of my grandsons.. they love star wars...

Hi ptracker, Do you paper piece? There is a free umbrella corp paper pieced pattern at  http://www.fandominstitches.com/p/video-games.html#zombie  it's alphabetical so it's at the bottom of the page by the comments.

well this is an interesting group.. i am a mother of 5 sons who all are gamers.. in fact i am trying to make a quilt for one of my sons .. he wants a resident evil umbrella symbol quilt.. he wants it like the tatto that he has on his neck.. yes he loves that game so now i have to figure out how to make the umbrella in red and white on black fabric. trying to figure out the the measurements of the red and white triangles .. i know i am going to have to applique them on black fabric and i figured out a simple design for a queen size quilt.. gonna lay the blocks in a diagonal with white and red blocks .. but i am a newbie so i need help in trying to figure out the size of the triangles to fit on a 12 inch block or maybe i should make the block bigger.. any ideas from anyone would be appreciated

Got a lot of that too - I have a nice sewing play list for my mp3 player. His wrestling game sounds obscene, lol!

BTW, the music was from Call to Duty 4. Apparently the composer scores movies in Britain. No wonder it sounded so beautiful.

At least you get music... all I ever hear is explosions and growls and the insessant chatter from his buddies!!

Ok, I'm sewing along, in the zone, totally contented while James is blowing things up and I realize I'm really digging the games music.... a lot. I've never had this happen before.
