Hi Everyone,

In case you didn't see my posting for January 2012 BOM, I have selected Cross Roads.  It can be found on www.MyWebQuilter.com.  Under Quilt Block Patterns you will find Cross Roads and enter 9 for Finished Block Size.   If you need some help finding the instructions, let me know.

Yay  ladies!!! This way we will have 8 blocks!! Then we can see about the last 4 ! We may need 4 more volunteers, please sign on if you can!!

Ginette kindly offered to take on June and October!! so we are up to 10 blocks!! 2 more volunteers and we have 2012 "wrapped up" so to speak! We are off to a super start, I love the January block, and Burtine has beaten us all with her GORGEOUS Christmas rendition!

February block - I chose Steps to the Altar for this month, 2 reasons - first, it's for February and Valentine's Day is coming; second,  Elizabeth started us off on a 'path' with the cross roads block.  I like a theme, and last year we did 'colors' - not sure if everybody else would agree, but maybe 'pathways' could be a good theme for this coming year.  Sorry I didn't say anything earlier, but haven't had a lot of time over the Christmas season, (and then a trip away) to do much thinking about it.     Anyway, for all it's worth, here's February's block:

http://quilterscache.com/S/StepstotheAltar2Block.html - this is a 9" block

http://quilterscache.com/S/StepsToTheAltarBlock.html - an alternate pattern, which I prefer, but is a 12" block, so for trying to 'down-size': cut small squares at 2", squares for small triangles at 2 3/8", squares for large triangle at 3 7/8", large square at 3 1/2", and rectangles at 3 1/2 x 5".  Hopefully I've calculated this correctly - if anybody discovers I'm wrong, please let all of us know.

Just a note - I personally never cut 1/8" measurements, I always go up to the next 1/2" increment, allows me to trim to the right size square, if the fabric moves or stretches (or my sewing is just 'off') when sewing the triangles together.          Hope you all like it!                                Blessings, Peg

Thanks Peg! I like the 9" one!

Debbie has offered to do another month--Nov. or December, Deb? and thank you!

I'll take December.

thanks Deb, only November left then!

Oh, well, seeing as that's my birthday month, I'll pick it up - then we have the whole year!  Blessings, Peg

blessings to you too! and thank you!

Sory - I posted to the wrong location. Here again is the URL for March BOM.

I thought Chisolm Trail fit in with the Pathways theme.

I chose this block as Janet is not available, I found it at CT deliberately as that is where we all met, and by now we are "old friends". Be well, Janet!

also known as the Road Home for those that like the pathways theme!
