Hi Everyone,

I'd like to make 9" blocks.  Other BOMs are usually 12", but I'm just continuing on with the blocks I'm making since I finished my first Quilting Canadians BOM quilt.

I would like to join, but I'm quite new to quilting and never did a BOM - can somebody explain the rules?

Hi Alica! 2011 is my first BOM and I have had a lot of fun with it. I get excited to see everyones blocks and when the quilts are done it will be awesome. I started quilting in 2008 so I am fairly new too. You will enjoy it. Someone posts a block and you choose your own fabrics from your stash and make your block and post it on here. I hope you join us.

Count me in! I would love to do September as that is my birthday month. 9" blocks is fine with me. Are we going to have a theme or just what ever?

I just had a look at your quilts Elizabeth and they are lovely.  I especially like your appliqué quilt.  I noticed a quilt using some of the blocks from the BOM - is that your finished quilt?  Very effective use of the blocks. 

I am way behind but have several blocks cut out and ready to go.  That is my work for today.  We have snow here in our small city - I can not believe how much we got yesterday.  The shovellers are hard at work clearing our walks and drives.   Great day to sew.

Hi Everyone,

Burtine, yes, I already finished 1 Quilting Canadians BOM quilt.  I have 10 blocks done for another one.  I just make more than 1 when I feel like it.

Thank you for the compliments on my quilts.  It is so nice to hear.  I am working on an applique block now for my LQS's BOM.
