I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Welcome Juliet. We've been at a bit of a stand still lately, but hopefully that will be changing soon. Look for a note to all our members in the near future. Will throw some ideas out to see what the wishes of the group are.

Talk to you all soon,
Quilty hugs to you!

This is the first group I've ever joined. I'm very excited to block swap in Red, White and Blue. I'm not sure how this chat board works. Will someone contact me thru my personal email  or only in this chat board?

Wishing all my quilting sistahs a very merry Christmas.  May the blessings and joys of the season be with you and your families.

I haven't been much on this site as well.  I joined our local quilt guild and I have volunteered on several of the groups so I have been quite busy.

I have friended Sandy on Facebook, and I think some of you are already there too.

Take care and bless you all.

Hey there gals. Since I last talked to Sandy she has left QWU site. Perhaps we could all send her a card to let her know she's in our thoughts and prayers. I know she was overwhelmed with all that was going on. I feel bad in that I had said I would take the reigns here but then with all going on for us I was going to back oput. But now, if you all will have me, I will try and get us up and doing things again. So right after the first of the year I will get something planned and try to reorganize us again. So how does this sound? Let me know and most definitely give me any ideas and input you might have.

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and blessed Holiday season!

Big quilty hugs to all.

And if anyone needs Sandy's mailing address, let me know.

Good morning ladies-

Have not heard anything from Sandy...lost contact when my FB acct. was hacked. I to wonder how her niece made out.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! We are having record breaking heat. I love it, but the skiers are not happy!

I know I am not on  here very much anymore but I still think of all of you often.  I cant't seem to find Sandy Todd.  I was wondering  if there was any news on the relative of hers that went missing.  ?  I hope all of you are well and know you are thought of often.

Not related to quilting: I bought the book by Marie Condo on how to organize your home.  Her advise was to start with clothes. For the past few weeks I have been looking for my winter clothes since the temps have been dropping down to the freezing point.  During this search, I got rid of 5 huge plastic bags of my own clothes, and 4 huge plastic bags of DH's clothes, most of them still with the price tag on.  All my clothes I dropped off at Goodwill, and his will go to Liberty House - a shelter for Veterans here in Manchester NH. I still have about 6 bins of clothes to go through in the basement, mostly party and formal gowns, which I may donate to a group that gives them out to high school girls looking for gown to wear for the prom. Just doing this chore has made the rooms look a bit brighter and I can now move around in the basement without having to jump over boxes.  And yes, I did find my flannel nighties in the process. Next chore will be getting rid of books and magazines.
