I believe it started as a joke. While waiting for the BOM I posted a picture of my messy sewing room, someone noticed the 'hot pad' and one thing lead to another.

Have fun - and let us know. I am trying to finish FMQ a baby bed quilt to start on the next one - I am so far behind that my Birthday quilt will have to wait.
Comment by Lisa F. ptracker on May 3, 2012 at 1:37pm @Sandy B. that is sooo pretty .. i love the colors of that... also that sounded like fun .. a birthday swap... this quilt guild i joined here in milwaukee since i moved here i signed up to be a special program coordinator.. now i gotta figure out what that means and does..anyone know or ever held that position
Love your blocks, Sandy, they are nice and cheery.
Remember that sis and I went on a shop hop last week, and got two blocks at each shop? They were black and white, and each shop received a different color to finish their quilt in. One was orange, one bright green, one purple, they were all great. I usually choose red, white, and black too, Lou Ann, but the different choices made me think!

I've been thinking about getting 20 little parcels over the past 2 weeks. I'll bet she didn't wait until her BD to open them! LOL I love your colors, yellow, white and black. What a fun combination. I seem to put red in with the white and black, but will have to remember the yellow - it is great!
Sandy what pretty blocks!!! Lucky girl!!
What a fun swap! They did very well!
Comment by Sandy B /AUS on April 26, 2012 at 9:56pm Actually I am in a birthday swap where we either make a block in the recipient's preferred colours or give a fat quarter to the birthday girl. It was wonderful 20 little parcels were in my letter box over the past 2 weeks.
