Sistas of the Traveling Trivet

Information

Sistas of the Traveling Trivet

I believe it started as a joke.  While waiting for the BOM I posted a picture of my messy sewing room, someone noticed the 'hot pad' and one thing lead to another.

Let the Adventure begin. . .

I will post a pic as soon as I get the second block together, Jan. There's a lot of blocks, bit is addictive. The in the hoop part is getting easier, and going much faster. The notebooks will look great, the others sure did! Be sure and share a pic.

Froggie, I'll be anxious to see your latest project - sounds interesting.  I like doing machine embroidery, but haven't done much lately.  I have a couple more notebook covers to make for grandsons, so will have to do their names.  Maybe I'll do some other stuff on their covers also.

Glad you are on the mend, Lori.

That sounds like a great show, Jan! I can't imagine micro stippling, especially by hand. Yikes!

Lori, I am glad your surgery went well. Take care of yourself.

I worked on my ME Prayer Garden this morning, then ran out of the stabilizer and bobbin thread, so I ran to the shop and stocked up. Don't want Sunday or Monday morning to to come, and have no thread!

The quilt show was awesome.  I knew there were some talented quilters in our guild, but the display was as remarkable as any quilt show I've ever seen. There were all sizes, all types, and wonderful colors.  There were several that were hand pieced, hand quilted that were so wonderful you just stood and stared.  One had micro stippling, all done by hand.  I can't do it on it machine that tiny, but by hand seems impossible.

I did manage to purchase a little fabric from the vendors!!  There was even a hand made jewelry vendor that had necklace and earring sets that I though our daughters couldn't live without for Christmas!!!  Thinking ahead!!

Well the colonoscpy is over with!! As everyone says, the prep is much worse than the procedure. He removed 2 tiny polyps and said I was good to go. Will have to have another is a few years, but for now I'm good. I have been lazy all day - slept quite a bit as I didn't get to sleep until nearly 2 last night.
Hope to attend the guild quilt show tomorrow. I'm anxious to see all the lovely quilts - should be well over 200 of them.

Good memory, Jan! Well, I talk about it enough, don't I? The pool will be warm, I don't want to freeze my tushy off! It looks much better today, funny what vacuuming leaves and tossing in some chemicals will do. Yeah, we didn't know what our girls were doing, did we? I probably knew too much. They do still come up with stories that I didn't know about. How did they make it to 20? Silly girls.
