I think I might go look for some Christmas fabric for a SnW.
Paula, some of the fabrics I pulled last night were from "Material Girl Fabrics" This one Christmas fabric I pulled was from there. She has some big bold fabrics and this Christmas fabric line was awesome. A beautiful SnW could be made from it. Click on theme and then Christmas if you go there. Then you will see them. I have been thinking the same thing but I have too many things to finish right now. Have a great day!!
I think that is a good idea,Paula. Maybe you can find me some also. Let me know if you do and I will come visit and pick it up. Just go easy on my pocketbook.
You will see Paul that I made a tree skirt from xmas fabric that was just red and white. I have it posted in the Stack-a-holic discussion.. I think might hook you in dear...LOL...ho ho ho...
These are great fabrics. I wish I would have tried one that was a larger print on it. The one I have is about 2" sunflowers and fall leaves. That didn't make very good stack n whacks. The centers are not very noticable form the rest of the patterns. I will finish this one as a lap quilt and maybe be on the lookout for a better print to do the next one.
I'm sorry if I am posting these photos in the wrong place! Here are two fabric selections of mine and you can see the entirely different look between fabrics that aren't busy, and fabrics that are a ''straight'' run. What a fun weekend it was doing the two fabrics. Running to the store this morning for more fabrics. :>)
The first selection here is of the straight run. looks kinda modern.
Vanda, you are actually doing a great job on the snowmen. Are you fussy cutting them rather than random? Post pics of your new fabric, I got some new Sat I have yet to post. I have the grandbaby today so I will post later. These really look good.
hey they almost look like a rail fence.. that is great!!
Here is the other fabric. I nicknamed it my fruity salad design. perfect name for it.:>))
The blocks look good. I like the name, it is perfect!!!!!
When I took the S&W class the teacher emphasized that there should be little background to your fabric.
Here is what I reluctanctly chose today. doesn't seem much to choose from right now.
