Hi Everyone.  My apologies!  I have been fairly busy with getting a FB group going this past year and have been focusing on that.  I would love to get this group going again now that I am retired and have a "little" spare time on my hands.

Question, shall we keep this same format or should we try something different, like swapping fabric or blocks?  Let me know what you think and possibly next year we can start.

Need to finish quilting a 4 year old top that is due tomorrow.  Nothing like procrastination to get you moving!  Chat more later.

Hi Everyone!  Sorry to be missing in action for so long!  Wow, 4 months!  Now that things are settling down and I have a little time before the Christmas rush, maybe we can see how everyone is doing?

I have a question for us.  What new technique would you like to learn next??  What is your most difficult part of finishing a quilt?

Me, I want to learn how to use some of the different presser feet that I have for my machine and see how they would work with quilting.  I bought Sewing With Nancy's workbook called Fancy Footwork 2 and it shows how to use about 12 different feet and attachments and now I want to play!

The most difficult part of finishing a project for me is when I get the blocks laid out and deciding on the borders and sashing.  I have more finished blocks than I do quilts.  Have a hard deciding on colors and  what type of border to make.

Hi Michelle!  Glad to hear that you finished a few projects!  What a great feeling that is!  Congratulations!

Me, I am just barely keeping my head above water at the moment.  Sure wish I had learned how to float when I was a kid! :D  My group on FaceBook is growing and I have been devoting a lot of my time to getting it under control.  We now have over 400 members and very busy.   Once everything settles down a bit, I will be back here.  I am still working part-time too, so life has been busy!  I am so glad that you wrote in. Keep in touch!
