Beginner Nine Patch! - Techniques 2010

March 20, 2010 is National Quilting Day, but we feel that's not quite enough to honor our craft, so we like to celebrate all month long! One of the ways we're celebrating this year is to help teach someone new to quilt. This month's technique is intended for the beginner quilter.

The Nine Patch Block is an excellent beginner block with tons of design potential. In the first lesson, we'll demonstrate the very basics of this block. The second lesson will show you strip piecing, a method to make many of the same block, more quickly. In the third lesson we'll show you how to tie a quilt and the final week will be a visual guide of inspiration to get your own design ideas flowing.

If you're an experienced quilter, please share this tutorial with a newbie, a wannabe, or just someone you think might be inspired by learning something new.

I had a couple of the EQ files that would not D/L. Friendship star 3 and i am not sure what the other one was. It is on the lap top and i don't have that out atm. I had no problem getting the one you mentioned though.
When Karen gets back i am sure she can get the links fixed though.
