Quilt With Us

So now you've seen 6 different methods to create a Flying Geese unit.  What's your favorite?  Did you try them all?  If not, which ones did you try?

And most important - is there a method you love that I didn't feature here????  Share share share!

Hi Karen, I have always used either of the first two methods you demonstrated. BUT after this I think I will use

the Fons and Porter ruler. I like it because it is very simple and quick. Most of the time when you use the goose

in a quilt there is a lot of them and a lot of cutting. Thanks for the lessons. I found this interesting.
I used the first method for my DH's quilt blocks

I did use the Fons & Porter gadget to get the seam allowance exact. I also figured out how to change the needle position on my Janome MC6600P to get the seam to a scant 1/4", so I was able to get the 16" square block quite accurate.
Your blocks are beautiful! Perfect points!
