I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.
We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.
It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.
I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Hi, I just joined Pinwheels and if you go and look at my page you'll see a picture of a Pinwheel quilt I just made for my nephew and his wife. They are due any day now for their first baby! I love making these pinwheel quilts....... have a great weekend.
Hi there, it seems no one has been on for awhile. Thought I would put on here that I have 2 new grandbabies due next year so I am starting some baby quilts. YAY!! I hope whoever reads this has a productive and wonderful year. :)
Wow, where is the year going........... I didn't realize that it has been so long since I have been on this group site. I am shamed to say that I have been very lax indeed! Hope everyone here is having a wonderful year and have been doing lts of sewing and quilting!! I wasn't able to do anything for almost three months, as I had shoulder surgery, but am back at it now.... Missed it terribly............. and so happy to be able to sew again!
In fact I have two classes coming up this month and I am looking forward to also!
Have a great day and a super rest of the year.......
Hugs,
Carol

Hi ptracker. Pinwheels are pretty easy once you remember to press all of your seam allowances in the same direction.
