On your page there is a place (listed on the lefthand side) where you can add photos. Or, you can just add some to your comments on here using the photo icon (second from the left).  If you go that route it is a good idea to change the pixel to 250 or 350 (it will often default to 750 when you download) so they won't be too huge.

Thanks for the invite Barb. Some of you already know me but for those who don't I'm Valerie and live in Connecticut with my DH. I love anything to do with needle and thread and especially thread painting. I look forward to getting to know you all and get some projects done.

LOL, Barb! Since I was one of those e-mail recipients (thanks ever so much for the *personal* service and vote of confidence!), I don't feel the least bit neglected. I have to say having a friend who happens to live on the other side of the world has its advantages when I stay up way to late and have to ask a question! ; D

Now that we are all here (!), I wonder if any of you remember the thread painting video someone so kindly posted for the LOAQ  group a few hundred pages back? I don't remember who the woman was, but she demonstrated using the zig-zag stitch to do a branch. It might be useful in the links thread BB added above.

Ouch, on the toes, BB!

BB - you are doing just fine! No worries.... except for your poor feet. Yes, aqua shoes - a must.

Sandy, be good to your back.

You're doing fine Barbara. Lamb shanks with tomatoes and vegetables tonight - how else am I going to fill a 31 year old up? Oh and chocolate ginger cake. Still hardly any rain - had to water the pot plants today. Now for my back exercises - to counter act the forward bending of every day life!

Wow. Look at that!  22 members (thanks BJ)  Now I have been firing off emails and comments for 3 days and have missed welcoming some people.

Linda H, CW, Denise, Terri, Sharon, sorry that I missed you individually. You all know you are 'old' friends and very welcome.

Now I'm worrying I missed someone else.  Charlotte!  Did you get a welcome or are you just chuckling there in the corner?  And Sandy!  Ok I'm officially no good as the creator of this group.  Would anyone else like to take over?  I suppose I can only improve.  Well, bed for me, it has been a long day.  I lost several layers of skin off my toes in the pool this morning.  I've been doing a faster type of jogging and my feet are getting raw from the non slip bottom (the pool's NOT mine!).  So tomorrow I will go back to my old way until I can go and find some aqua shoes.  Aparently they don't like blood in the pool.  Who'd have thought?  I suppose they think it could attract sharks.
