Yes Terry, I actually have 4 tops ready and 3 more on the way. I don't know who is more excited me or my husband. He keeps counting down the days.lol
Comment by Terry F on April 13, 2012 at 10:13am Debbie, I wish I had access to Heather's hubby! A LA is very exciting! Do you have tops ready to go on it (silly question)?
Thanks everyone. It really is a mess, but a creative mess.lol My design wall was an idea that I started with pvc pipes and my friend Heathers' husband built us each one. It is standing at its largest, but can be made into several different sizes. I can even make it small enough for on the table. Do you know what is behind the design wall??? MORE FABRIC in bins piled up! Well 2 more weeks until I get my LA. This weekend will be clean up and organize to make room. Pool table will be coming down. Paula the table with the red chair was also built by Heathers' husband. He modified it for me. I have it cut out for my embroidery part of my machine and He made it to come apart easy to get it in my basement. Then he put casters on it to roll it around easy and then the block pads under the wheels to hold in place. I have another cutting table that I will be putting in place of the pool table. It will be easier to move around. I will post pics when it all takes place.
Comment by Road Home Quilting on April 5, 2012 at 10:49am Luv your design wall corner, Debbie. Super use of space :)
Comment by Paula Coleman/KS - "Sew Silly" on April 3, 2012 at 4:39am I used to use a pool table that had a ping pong table on laying on top of it. It really did make a nice place to lay out a quilt. Back then I used to pin my quilt and it made it so much easier on the back. I like your table by the red chair. I think I still have the catalog bookmarked to get the pattern some day - LOL!
Comment by Terry F on April 2, 2012 at 1:24pm Okay Girls, I'm gonna tell my husband that we should get a pool table! Won't he be excited? LOL
Comment by Cat Lady--MO on April 2, 2012 at 12:50pm I have a friend who has a long arm, and she still uses the pool table in their basement to lay quilts out on as she prepares them to either start quilting, or to square and trim them when she is done if that is what the customer wants.
Thanks Terry. I will have to get a new cutting table when the pool table is gone. It has been well used.lol It is nice to have the whole basement for my sewing room.
Comment by Terry F on April 2, 2012 at 7:59am Good use for the pool table Debbie! Do you keep your cutters in the side pockets, ;0)? Love your cabinets, work spaces and corner sewing table!
Here are a few pics of my sewing space. Notice the pool table turned cutting/pressing table. Also the one picture under the stairs storage, notice the orange zucchinis.lol The pool table is on its way out as soon as my LAQ machine and frame arrive. Then everything will be changed. I will post pics when that happens. Oh, and excuse the mess.
