I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Just joined this group.  I love all the pics of the places you sew.  I'll post mine later.  Thank you again for letting me join your group.

I'm ashamed of my sewing studio, yours have walls or windows something beautiful as a room. I have basement and tables with heavy metal outdated machines. Wish I could live at your house. Guess, price I pay for one income. But I have a tabby who will climb to the moon and swing on my light fixtures if he could.

What I love Q-snap shelves easy to clean, will hold a heavy TV and VCR, easy to take apart and downsize or move to other room very versatile. Comes in white, grey, black.. Can find in the hardware department. Affordable. Then the plastic drawers on wheels. If the shelf breaks you still have the drawer to use and slide onto the shelves.

Debbie, I wish I had access to Heather's hubby!  A LA is very exciting!  Do you have tops ready to go on it (silly question)?

Thanks everyone. It really is a mess, but a creative mess.lol My design wall was an idea that I started with pvc pipes and my friend Heathers' husband built us each one. It is standing at its largest, but can be made into several different sizes. I can even make it small enough for on the table. Do you know what is behind the design wall??? MORE FABRIC in bins piled up! Well 2 more weeks until I get my LA. This weekend will be clean up and organize to make room. Pool table will be coming down. Paula the table with the red chair was also built by Heathers' husband. He modified it for me. I have it cut out for my embroidery part of my machine and He made it to come apart easy to get it in my basement. Then he put casters on it to roll it around easy and then the block pads under the wheels to hold in place. I have another cutting table that I will be putting in place of the pool table. It will be easier to move around. I will post pics when it all takes place.

I used to use a pool table that had a ping pong table on laying on top of it.  It really did make a nice place to lay out a quilt. Back then I used to pin my quilt and it made it so much easier on the back.  I like your table by the red chair.  I think I still have the catalog bookmarked to get the pattern some day - LOL!

Okay Girls, I'm gonna tell my husband that we should get a pool table!  Won't he be excited?  LOL

I have a friend who has a long arm, and she still uses the pool table in their basement to lay quilts out on as she prepares them to either start quilting, or to square and trim them when she is done if that is what the customer wants.
