Bi-monthly (1st and 15th) Inspirations and Opportunities

Welcome to a group where ideas are proposed, and you get to share everything you come up with, past and present, on the given idea.  No deadlines.  No ending dates.  A new themes and ideas will be put forth on the first and fifteenth of each month.  Feel free to share your thoughts, concepts, progress, and completed projects on the various themes at any given time.  A running tally of themes will be kept at the top of these pages, so that you can visit any of the ideas at any time, and more than once.

The theme for the first of the month will be clear.  It might look like:  apples, running water, shapes, etc.  It could be a combination of words.  Whatever appears at that point will be something you have a clear picture of in your mind.

On the fifteenth, the game changes.  Your motivator will be something more abstract, and usually come in the form of a phrase.  As this group is starting after mid-month, we will start with an abstract idea.

Whatever comes to mind, that you can apply to creating will be worth exploring.  You may not accomplish something with every idea, which is ok.  Discussing what comes to mind, your visual images and reactions will stimulate all of us.  These may lend a hand in helping someone bring an idea full circle.

Welcome to a world of whimsies and wonder.  Share your dolls, your quilts, your collages, your beading, whatever fiber arts you create with, share it.  Along the way, new techniques will be shared to enhance your imagination.  Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Folks, I am sorry, but life has gotten too busy for me to continue this group.  I am so sorry to have to move on to other things.  I cannot juggle this one, and with reluctance put it down.  If anyone wants to take over, now would be a great time to sing out.

Clever hats Ruthann, great phrases Linda, poor Robbin - heal quickly.

I agree with you Linda about boo-boo - Australia is sometimes more english than the English.

Sunshine - humph - none here - only more rain! Love the feeling of gentle sunshine on closed eyes.

Caribbean - exotic places, cricket, West Indies, adventure, poverty, Ernest Hemingway.

gardens - too much water, split tomatoes, moulds, pruning, perfumes, colour, greens, Time out, peace, zen.

I have been playing with my watercolours and here is the result.

Love the hats Ruthann, make mine a piece of pie please.

Boo -boos,We would use this expression for a mistake. Also pal of Yogi Bear call Boo boo.

Sunshine - what we have today.Jake is playing at the front with his sandpit and he has water in it to soak the dinosaurs. It does not take much to make a boy happy.Messing about.

Caribbean makes me think of pirate treasure.(oh aarrhh),coconuts and Pina Coladas, parasols and sunbathing.

Will think about gardens, been reading Shogun again and love the idea of the restful gravel gardens but I love plants too.

Ruthann, love the bonnet.

Sorry for not commenting y'all, but I have blisters between my fingers and ant bites on top of those.  Typing sucks for a few days.  So does everything else.  It doesn't hurt, unless I use my hands.  I am going to take it easy.

Here are some topics for a few days.

Today:  Boo-boos

Saturday:  Carribean (sp? - I know it's spelled wrong)

Sunday:  Sunshine

Monday:  Gardens

So a western row by row Ruthann? Using the braid trim is a clever idea. I remember those Barbie clothes.

I thought I had lost my reading glasses yesterday - I was looking through them trying to find where I had put them. I am blaming my head cold!! LOL

just thought of something, those glittery fabrics on bottom of your cloth of gold, remind me of making barbie doll dresses years ago. made the stable and general store so far, found this braid like trim that looks western to put between the rows, am putting 3 buildings on each row.
