Good morning fellow quilters one and all. So sorry I have not been on line with you all. I am still fighting health issues but God and quilting are helping see me through. Today I am going to hand sew the binding on my Kim Diehl Buttons and Bows quilt or at least start it. Have to limit how much repetative movements I do.

Got some flowers planted outside yesterday and so enjoyed playing in the dirt.

My best friend had to put her dog down this week. That was so sad. Those little fur people are so much a part of our family. They sure leave good foot prints in our hearts. My Pekingese (Spice) is so much fun and company for me. Last night she was very barky and woke me many times. This morning I discovered what it was all about. She was chasing a fly that had the nerve to be in our space. Found my huge palm plant and a smaller plant dumped in the living room as she was trying to hunt him down. She is napping now from all the night shift work she had to do.

I got the fly so she can sleep in peace. Want to work on a Christmas project some today...yup I'm thinking ahead. Will tell you how it goes if my plan works. The Hen House is up to every Wednesday now. I love it. We call it WIng It Wednesday and the hens come at 10:00 and stay as long as they like. We do so much and talk to our hearts content. FUn is always had by all who attend. Enjoy the day. Love to all., Mary Jane

Greetings to other Wisconsinites. It is nice to meet all of you.
I am from a small community just west of Green Bay.
And I know Nancy's Notions store quite well.
I visit every chance I get. :)
Sadly I will not be attending the Ill show in April. Our local quilt show is the same weekend.

Hi, I'm Janet from Kenosha in the southeast corner of Wisconsin. I'm retired from teaching since 2002. My hobbies are quilting, knitting and gardening. I completed my first quilt while I was still teaching. My 4th graders designed the pictures for the quilt. It was a school project for Wisconsin's Sesquicentenial. Right now I am finishing a paper pieced pineapple wallhanging. I just have to finish sewing on the binding. I also love to knit. Lately I have been hooked on knitting socks. My LQS are in Racine, just north of Kenosha, but lately I've done most of my shopping online. I've joined the Southern Stars BOM. I haven't received my quilt kit yet, and I can't wait to get started. I've spent many happy hours reading on this wonderful site the past two weeks.

Hi Ladies,
I'm Judy from Cross Plains, just west of Madison , and am thrilled to see a group starting of Wisconsin girls. I'm retired and get to quilt as much as I want! My husband( also retired) is wonderful, and pretty much takes care of the household, so My time is my own. I belong to a local group of quilters called "The Front Poarch Quilters" which started as a UFO group, but we pretty much do a lot of starting rather than finishing projects. We are all wonderful friends and just have a great time when we get together. We've done several retreats, road trips and general stitch-in's in each other's houses. I've been quilting about 6 years, but have sewn and done handwork my whole life. It's a pleasure to be adding new friends who have the same love of quilting that I do. Looking forward to meeting and talking to all of you often.

I'm Sue from Wisconsin Rapids. I have purchased a Gammill
Statler this last summer. I have done about 40 quilts so far but I'm still learning every time I do another one. I have never been into hand quilting. I have tied my quilts in the past. I love the statler. You just have to watch and wonder as it stitches all those beautiful patterns. They look great when they are done.
Do you girls have a quilt shop that you support. We have one local shop and then we have several brand name shop in near by towns. But I support them all, and my quilt room shows.
Hope to hear from all of you soon. I know there is more then a couple of us in WI.
Any one going to the quilt show in ill. in April. That is where I ordered my machine from last May. Great show. We took a bus down. Nothing like not having to find parking. Your time is limited, so you really have to shop shop shop. You can eat on the way home.
for the love of quilting.
