Some of us are making the Year at a Glance Quilt in the original size and others are sizing it down to a wall hanging. Our goal is to make at least 2 blocks a month so we can put it all together and get it quilted in time to display it in January.

When you post pictures of your project on your page if you want them to be displayed in the album make sure you put in the tag YEAR!

I like that idea too Lucy. Oh the possiblilities...

I made a scrappy back with my leftovers and it is being quilted right now. I'll decide when I get it back if I am going to add embellishments. Ribbons on the kite tail for sure. The binding is made and ready to put on as soon as it if finished. I'm almost done!

gosh you guys, The borders are coooool/ What if you took it further and added beads for spring showers and wind for winter using long beeds. I just got a cd that showed how to make fabric beads. Went and got a dowel today and am doing a small piece with these beads. If anyone of you want to discuss any art quilts with me dooooo so. I would love it.

I agree, Deborah! No boring blocks here.

That's a gorgeous block, Kara, I love the mittens hanging  in the tree, and your border.

Here's a pic of my placemats I have started making. This is some 2.5" strips that have been hanging around the quilting room.

I like the variations I'm seeing. Nothing is more boring than dozens of identical quilts.
