Great job on the quilts, Cora. At first I thought it was a duplicate picture, but now I see the quilts are just a little bit different from each other. Perfect!

Very windy here tonight.

Comment by Kim Webb yesterday

Those are beautiful Cora.  You need to stop in more often even if it's just to say hi. I like hearing what everyone has been up to and what your weather has been like.

Cora, that quilt is beautiful,  what happy recipients that will be, If they don't like it let me know, I will even come and get it. Identical triplets must have been so much fun growing up, what tricks they could have pulled.  I love your colors and the great contrasts.

We have finally had a little rain here on Vancouver Island....it has been too dry....the creeks and streams are really low...not good for the salmon and everything else with it.  I have been lurking in the back ground reading  all your posts. I will be snoopy logged in now! lol  have a great weekend everyone....get over Full Moon Friday the 13th! Lots of crazies out!!!

Hello ladies....happy anniversary birthday and baby wishes to all.. I miss too much! I have three godsons (triplets).  One had a child in 2013 and I made my first quilt with Ann - Mystery quilt on this site.  It has been a long time but the other two boys have finally had (and having a child in December) a baby of their own. It is about time since they are all 42 this year. Anyway the two have both been Canadian military members and now are both Royal Canadian Mounted Police. (I always hope they are not on the same shift as a stopped drinking driver would be really confused as they are identical). Their mother tells me they will love them  I sent them to her....I hope they do as well..Here is a pic.

Rita, enjoy your favorite seafood place. Sounds a lot better than the other place you described. DH and I used to go to a fancy place for our anniversaries every year and get an overnight stay package. That started getting pricey too, and the novelty of it wore off after awhile.

Had a nice cool temp walk this morning. High 50s. It's up to 72 now but the air coming in the kitchen door feels a lot cooler than that. My bare feet are actually cold. Might have to put some fuzzy socks on. I finished my daughter's potholders last night. I need to work on one more set for her friend, as long as I'm on a roll with them. Then I'll post a picture.

I need to think up something to make for Genevieve's birthday. Her two-year-old party is the beginning of next month. I'm thinking a stuffed toy. I believe I purchased a pattern awhile ago, and really should make it since I spent the money on it. I never keep track of whether I've spent money on online patterns or if they were free ones. So when I go to thin them out I probably toss stuff I've paid for.

Morning, fall is in the air, much cooler and damp, leaves just beginning to color up, and I love how all the flowers are on a sprint to the finish, blooming their hearts out. Can you tell I love fall?

We have changed our mind for the special anniversary dinner, the fancy hotel we were going to just too pricey, and $22 for valet parking, and dinner only fancy "small plates" of little piled up things to share....nope. We are going to our favorite seafood restaurant overlooking the falls, I will get some pictures. BBL

Good morning. It rained overnight. We have had several nights like that htis late summer. It's better than rain all day. It's cooler for a few days now.

Rita it's great that you are popping in now and then.

That soup souds like a corn chowder that I make sometimes. Mine starts with bacon so how could you go wrong. I wondered how the knee did with all your walking. Have fun restocking the shelves of the fridge.

Thel you think of the most fun things for the NH residents. Those glasses are a hoot. I hope they took pics for the residents. Did Buzz get t wear a pair too? Sounds like  abusy day for you with the cleaning and sewing and bathing.

That Friday the 13th full moon must have the ER's all nervous. It makes me nervous and I'm not even working anymore.

I got a start on the Christmas present  yesterday. I might get it finished today. It's an in the hoop crossbody bag. (Try saying that 3 times fast). Then I want to try and cut the fabrics for the Stroll in Paris blocks this month. If I get on a roll I may cut some fabrics for a paperpieced quilt. My  mind usually tells me I can get more done than I actually accomplish.

Sophie does pretty well taking her pills as long as they are well hidden in cheese or liver sausage. I think they will get cut down after the effects of her anti inflammatory go away.

Have a great one.

That sounds like fun, Thel! Crazy glasses day. Crazy day. I love it. I think that's why there are so many choices, Thel. So many people like different kinds of PJ's. I like the almost knee length T shirt type. Oh  yeah, I need to get a picture of my jewelry and other goodies. I am addicted to funny jump drives. I have a monkey, a sewing machine or two, lipstick, I don't know what all I have.

I do need a vacation from my vacation, Kim. we wore me out. Yum, soup. DD1 made a corn soup that was so good. It had potatoes, ham, corn, lots of goodies in it. Yum.

Chocolate has two pills, and he eats them both with no hiding them. One is the dasiquin, it's like a treat, and the other is pill form. It must taste like meat or something, because we have had pills before we had to hide. I have to pick up another month's worth today.

Hoppppy Friday the 13th and Harvest Moon! I love a harvest moon.

I really have to get out to the grocery store and get some things. We are out of fruit, veggies, eggs. Things like that. I think I am going to go to Crest where they have great produce, and get what we need right now. that will be better on my poor knee. Monday, I go to the doc for a check up, and I will tell her about it then. Yesterday, I got in the quilting room for a bit, and made two ME fall leaf coasters. I need to flip them still, then I will get a pic. I should share some pics of our vacation here, too.

Good morning, it is a beautiful start to the day here today after the deluge of rain that we had yesterday morning. Cool and crisp today. Not suppose to get out of the 60's today.

Welcome back Froggie. Sounds like you had a wonderful time on your vacation. Now you need a vacation from your vacation.

I have a little work to do this morning. Then I need to figure out what I'm going to take with me to work on tomorrow for sit and sew. I need to pack my lunch also for tomorrow. I'm thinking I will make a soup today that I can just heat up tomorrow. We will have access to a small kitchen that I think has a microwave to heat the soup up in.

That's a lot of pills for Sophie. I use the pill pockets for Helga's pills. I use half of a pill pocket in the morning and the other half at night.

Sounds like a good day out Thel. Did you take Buzz with you?

Well, I need to get ready for work.

Have a great day...
