Well let us try this again, had my post all done and it totally flipped to some weird size and symbols, here is my first stash buster block. I think I will just 4 of each one, and then make a lap quilt or ??? out of it. It is a good project for me to re learn some skills and get some practice done, all the while using up my stash. How often are these blocks coming out? anyone know.

Tomorrow is our quilt group ( the one where everyone does there own thing and brings lots of food) they are very nice ladies so I am hanging in there for a q while longer.

Thel!  There you are!  We’ve all been wondering what neat things you’ve been up to lately!  Love the hair! Dinner looks good too!

I tried a new recipe, and mom didn’t like it at all.   Red beans with andouille sausage and rice. She wants our regular pinto beans.  Might make some tomorrow for her.

Never even got to touch fabrics, so forget sewing!  Maybe tomorrow?

We are expecting rain on Tuesday, probably just enough to dirty cars.

Froggie, hope you’re feeling better!

The kids are off tomorrow, federal holiday.

Oh no,  how/what is feeling nasty Froggie?  How are you sick!  Be better.

OH geeze,  tomorrow is MLK day?????   I better check if the Y has classes or not,  I think they don't when there isn't any school.  Is school out for MLK?   I just don't know this kinda stuff,  no need to know.

OH boy,  Feb. 1st will be here before you know it Kim.  What a wonderful way to start a new month.

I had this for dinner.  I'll be honest,  this fast hasn't been all that hard, but I really am hankering a nice steak or a big fat burger or BBQ ribs or fried chicken !   Well,  you get the idea,  I need a hunka meat!    I crack me up!

I need to be more in tune with all my friends Froggie,  you are correct.  I miss you guys when I don't get here.

Yup it's a crazy head for sure.  OH BOY,  my bag!  What a fun thing that'll be.  I was just trying to find a way to carry my phone earlier when I went out to get the ice off Lexi.  Geeze that girl keeps freezing up.  I need to get one of those remote start things so I can start her and get her thawed out when it's so awful out.

Really Froggie,  you're doing the Bible in a Year too.  I'm doing this one, which are you doing.  I know there are lots of different written plans to just follow along.  There is a great Facebook group I'm in just for this version.  The originator of the FB group is actually gonna be at our church speaking and celebrating with us Tuesday evening for the last day of our 21 days of Prayer.

Hi Froggie. I think we were talking about Marie Bostwick's Cobbled Court Quilts series. Book one is called  A Single Thread. I hope you are feeling better tomorrow and won't need the doctor.

We are getting Tessa on February 1st Thel. As long as the weather cooperates. She will be just about 8 weeks old.

Oh yeah, about a week ago, someone was talking about a quilting mystery series. Please remind me of the name? I just finished my series last night.

Wow, Thel, start your day without your computer? You sure are making changes! Good for you, but remember us too! We love you! That haircut is crazy funky with those colors! I just love it.

Oh I guess you don't like that function, Alice? A friend doesn't like hers She got mad at it. "Stop doing that!". She cracks me up. Dehydrated foods? They have MRE's at the commissary, is that the same? I don't even know what's in those things, and why they would sell them. Seems like what you eat when you are out in the desert and that's all you have. No grill around to cook burgers.

Yep, that embroidery machine sucks up a lot of money, Thel! It's fun though. Oh yeah, I have your bag, it's ready for me to send to you.

I slept a lot this afternoon. Read my Bible study and today's part of the Bible in a year. I just went from Genesis to Job. Poof! Just like that. I crack me up. I'm calling my doc in the morning, I feel really nasty now. I hope she isn't closed for MLK day.

How much longer you need to wait to bring Tessa home Kim?  Oh my goodness, you must be so excited.

This is just a short little video of my roti cooking.  Good stuff and so easy!

The house finally warmed up.  I did give in and bring the kerosene heater in for a little while.  64 inside just wasn't working for me.  Too old and creaky for that.

My plan is to get on a better schedule here to get to Stretch n Flex for 10am.  Mornings sure are gonna be changing for me cause I plan to do that at least 3 times a week.  Once I'm used to the routine, I want to get swimming into the mix.  I've really taken this saying to heart and making a difference in my life.

Beautiful picture Kathleen.  What a happy girl enjoying her pillow.

I read some but got sidetracked again, so not gonna try to completely catch up.  Love the stabilizer roll thingy Froggie.  Great idea,  what a lot of stuff you have.  Must be cause of that embroidery machine.

I've been participating in a Daniel Fast with a lot of my church friends.  That means I've been cooking some pretty cool stuff,  the crux is a simple diet.  No meat, dairy or sugar.  If strict, NO processed foods at all.  I've been somewhere mid way and allowed myself a bit of processed food like triscuits and sprouted bread.    We'll be having a special worship service Tuesday evening to wrap up the 21 days of prayer.

I've got some of the Stash Buster blocks made but haven't gotten to any for a few days.

I think I'll make some roti to go with a hot bowl of vegetable soup.  I made a big pot of soup yesterday.   Today is definitely a soup kinda day.   I've got more curtains than usual closed and the big quilt I hang on hooks across the front door (old door with gaps leaking cold air in) to help cozy the place up.  I made that cover from big curtain sample squares my sister had sent long ago.  Not pretty, but functional.
