The chalk cloth is black, and to pretreat it you have to rub chalk across it, clean it off, and repeat. I plan to give each family a box of colored chalk to go with the placemats. If they want, they can even treat them as entertainment boards to take along in the car. And, the green stash will remain with me, but thanks for the offer. LOL

I am falling down the stairs laughing, too! I have never heard the Catholic version! The things I missed...

That is too funny, Lynne! I think I would have been on the bannister right behind ya.

Oh, I have to turn around all the time. I am always getting lost, even in areas that I know. I am seriously directionally challenged.

Darlene is such a trouble maker! Hey, maybe I can borrow her GPS. Then I can find my way home from work. Four miles in one direction.

I am tryin' to get some projects finished, teacher, I am almost finished with the rag quilt. Then I need to make the April block, a couple of blocks for an exchange, the baby quilt... HELP!

Good Morning Everyone

Carol:  I'm glad your granddaughter doesn't hear you telling your husband where to go!

My sister had one of the first GPS's and she named her Katherine (after Katherine Hepburn).  We were visiting my mother and decided to get a pizza from the pizza place we'd gone to for many many years and to show off she turned Katherine on.  She actually took us on a slightly altered route which allowed us to avoid a nasty left turn across many lanes of uncoming traffic.  I still don't have one, and probably never will, but I'll always remember Katherine and how she knew better than we did.

Mari:  Don't you just hate all those piles?  But where else are you going to put things?  and don't get me started on nun stories.

Lou Ann:  Anytime you want, just send that green stash this way.  Is chalk cloth fabric printed with pieces of chalk or chalk-like drawings?

My granddaughter thinks it's great that Grandpa has a "lady that calls him in his car" and tells him where to go.

Are all of you finishing up your projects???  Today's the last day of March!  So, we have April and May to organize and finish things up!

I know some of you have emailed me or reminded me about the appliqués for the candle mat I gave you in January.  I offer my apologies to you!  I will get them done ASAP and made available to you.  My mat is in that holding pattern too.  In fact, I'm going to have to go through some "piles" to find it.  I think there's just too much going on right now!  Yikes  :-o

Good Morn'in Everyone!!!!

You'all and your GPS's make me laugh ~ Darlene and I went on a retreat one time to a location 150 miles away and mind you, I knew my way (had been there many times), however, she had just received a new GPS and had to use it.  So, she suction cupped it to my window and it told me where to go the whole way!!!  So, when leaving, I said, "no way Darlene, I'm not listening to that ____ thing all the way home especially when I know my way!"  Imagine, being told where to go by a GPS!!??

Oh Barbara, that happened to me last Saturday with Lori.  I even had to break into my "stash" (100 dollar bills when the CC is tired).  At least I have a nice big pantry in my sewing room to store it until necessary.  I just ordered chalk cloth yesterday to make some placemats for the younger GKs.  I think they are going to have fun with them.

When I moved to MD (NE is mostly square sections of roads) I would turn north and discover that I was actually going east and away from home. A GPS is a necessity for me, but I drove right past one QS and had to turn around and go back.

Love the memorial Elizabeth - what a great shape. Gifty projects - I had better finish what I have here then.

Barbara,  shame on your purse!  Mine acts the same way every time I go into any shop that has fabric in it!  And i can get lost even when I have On Star giving me the directions.  I make a turn and it tells me I am going the wrong way!  Oh well - technology is great - now it tells us off too!

Just got back from a shop hop with my QOV group & had to check in with this group.

You make me giggle everry time.

Glad your check-up was good, Anne. Good luck on the coffee . Maybe you could do the 1/2 & 1/2 type for awhile.

Back to the shop hop. My purse just would not cooperate in staying closed. BAD PURSE. I bought a BOM quilt kit, which required buying the pattern book, of course; at one shop & material in the tuxedo cat line to make the quilt in F&P Easy Quilts Mag. Had a great time. They asked me to drive and I agreed as long as there were good navigators aboard. Of course we were the car that got lost .. TWICE! I finally gave in and plugged in the GPS. :-D

Have a good one.
