Oh don't forget to dream big. I have a big carrot with a bunny holding it and a sign that says dream big.

Good morning Ladies! I went online last night and found quite a few quilt shops in Louisiana. They even have a Joann's and Michaels. I quess I'll take a little time off from work get some ufo's done (I found a lot while packing). My DH's niece has a place picked out for my sewing machine. Bless her heart. She knows I can't live without  sewing on something.

They have several pine trees on the property. I might be forced to take up crafting too. I paint on wood and have been known to paint on material. My hands are itching to paint after I saw Donna Dewberry yesterday. DGD#1 wants to paint like that too. I quess I have to buy some new brushes and "brush up" (pardon the pun) on my painting. The grands and I have also died some material. DGS#2 (7) did some at school. He brought it to my house and was so proud. We took it and made a pillow out of it. He took it back to school and showed it to the class. The teacher didn't want anybody to touch it. Scott said it was all right that it could be washed, it was only material. That started a lot of moms and grandmas back to sewing as the kids wanted a pillow too. I quess that's not a bad thing. The more who sew the longer we keep handmades alive. I'm trying to keep the tradition alive. I want to teach others to sew and quilt. Friends say I have a lot of patience. That's my dream. That's what I want to do when I grow up. What's your dream ?

May all your ups and downs be in stitches. Deb

Sure wish I would have  had a pair of the "Rag Quilt Snips" when I made mine a few years ago...don't even know if they were available back then. It was snip and rest, snip and rest, snip and rest....lol you get the picture.

Anxious to try the bake ware, but it's too hot to turn on the oven. Sew........need to get busy working on something this morning....been awake since 5:30 and haven't accomplished a cotton pickin' thing. :-)

If MaryAgnes gets evicted she and Choux Choux will get in their car and spend the next few years visiting all their Gifty friends, one at a time, for months at a time.  Now won't that be fun?  And you can all blame Gayle and her rag quilt.

Kathy I have a set or 2 of those pans and I like them a lot.  They really are oven proofed to 400* F/ or whatever your stove heats to.  I have some that are smooth and some shapedlike pumpkins.

I bought the scissors already to do the rag quilt but am afraid of what my washing machine will do when I wash it.  I am going to wait and see if Mary Agnes gets evicted before I make mine. lol

Kathy... My daughter won't use anything but those. I just have too many pans I like to start all over with new pans... tho getting them at a garage sale makes it a possibility... I just can't give up old things... I like old...

MaryAgnes... You will be surprised how quickly you can get enough old jeans once you put out the word. Then we will all be off on a 'What else can I make with all these jeans?' kick!  Why not?! :>)

Northern Explosion is much better.  And it might just be possible, Diane, that you would be too much for the Big Apple, but we'd love you to give us a try.

Oh Goody.  A new tool to spend my money on.  The scissors sound like a good purchase with a Joann's 50% off coupon.

Yes, we have laundromats in NYC.  Most people do not have their own washers and/or dryers.  My building has a laundry room in the basement so if the filters get clogged it's not my responsiblity.

Shelia I've never seen these before I'll keep my eye open for then as I like the idea for a picnic/stadium blanket made of jeans.
