We are suppose to have snow here on Wed & Thur.  Looks like combined snow and rain so perhaps wet snow (hee, hee).  The temps are suppose to be in the 20°'s.  That speaks "ice" to me but again, we'll see.  The PNW weather is very difficult to predict.

Yes Lynne, we are working on gathering stuff for Gifty for Christmas.  I'll be making a lot of stuff because I'm NOT going to be in the same situation I was this year.  It was because of my two moves in one year and all the "stuff" that generated from it.  It was a very tough year and glad its over; very glad.

So, come Jan 1 I will begin my first 2011 project and I'll share it with you for sure!  I think it will be a candle mat ~ two of them.  I'll tuck each finished project away in a special container.  I belong to 4 quilt groups and I want something "quilty" for each person.  It can be done.

This Christmas, for my family, I laid out all my big quilts and let each of them choose one as their gift.  I was surprised but it was a hit and all of them were very happy!  Me too!  I don't use them all and I have a whole stack of finished tops I intend to quilt this year to replace the ones given away.  Wow, I'm chatty today!!??!!

Your New Year aim sounds familiar Lynne. Maybe it was me talking to myself. No snow here in AUS, high 80s/low 90s at the end of this week - a hot New Year's eve for us.

Marnie I am glad you made it home before the snow weather hit.  Now you can go to your sewing space and get to work since you don't wantto go out and get snowed on.LOLOL

We got snow!  starting last night and blizzard conditions all day.  The last time I looked it was only about 12 inches of snow.  Go figure, we had a brown Christmas and now this.  We had a wonderful Christmas with DS and DGD, she was so excited , gave each a thank you hug after opening her gift!  Gotta love our Grandkids.  had a very nice dinner at sons and came home before snow hit.  No day after Christmas shopping for me, too cold and stormy.  Sounds like you all had a good Christmas. Happy New Year   take care

Well, no snow here, but we were in the high 20's the last 2 mornings!  You would think that my "hot flashes" would help when it's cold outside, but no, when I need them, they are no where to be found!  We had my DS home from Kansas for Christmas and his girlfriend was here with her 2 kids and we had a blast!  It's been 20 years since there were little ones at Christmas.  I went overboard with things for them.  They are 3 & 5 and Dh said it looked like we had 50 people coming over.  The good news is that I went shopping with my DS today and he asked MY opinion on which of 2 rings he should buy for his girlfriend!  He is going to aske her on New Year's eve, just after midnight!  I am sooooo excited for him and her!  She is a lovely lady and the kids are adorable -  I am their "Mimi" and DH is Mr. MarkLOL  They figured that one out on their own!  Anne, the prayer is wonderful!  All I can do is echo the sentiments of everyone else - cyber friends are wonderful!   And Mari - you and Judy need to come up with some ideas to keep us motivated throughtout the year to get next Christmas finished before it gets here!  I made a resolution to try and finish what I started over the last few years and either lost interest in or couldn't find to finish! LOL  I think I made the same one last year too!

Oh yeah, Anne, we should go visit MaryAgnes for New Year's Eve!

I think I missed a page, so I am back talkin to ya. I love the prayer, Anne, it's great, and so true.

Oh Gayle, I am sending big big quilty hugs to your niece and her sweet baby girl.

Quilting plan for 2011 with Judy, Mari? I bet that was fun! Plus your first Christmas in the new house, with the new paint! I bet that was great.

Well, Barbara, I listened to part of the top 80 Christmas songs of all time, and the one at the top was an old old favorite, White Christmas by Bing Crosby! Maybe that's part of the reason for so much snow.

No snow here, but the sun is shining and looking rather warm. I am hiding in the house, goofing off again, sitting by DD1. I think she just made us some popcorn! I better get hoppin, and find someplace to store my chewing gum!

Oh yes, Anne, it was wonderful and warm at your house on Christmas Eve, I think I have started a new tradition! I'm glad you got your kindle, I dont think DH or DGS have downloaded books yet, but they have played with their kindle's and the settings. Your book sounds like fun, Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder! With or without nuts?

We are just sitting around, I am thinking about checking out the new CT sales and spend my gift cards.

I think I will go find a piece of candy to munch on. We have lots.

No snow in S. La. but I have to go to take DH to see the Pulmonary Dr.  I guess I will try to jump back in the evening and see if you girls figured out what you are making everyone for next Christmas.

Hi Kids.  The Snow is Snowing here!  It looks so beautiful out there in the back yard, in the woods...all the trees covered with lottttssss of Snow.  I'm glad I don't have to shovel it!  DS#4 and his buddy were just here and cleared out the driveway and walks...  Then they came in and had a hot cuppa, and whatever they wanted to go with it.  Buddy David, went home with the 4 remaining Manicotti's.  And that's the way it goes around here.  Just looking at a quilt book that was a gift...many more patterns.

Yes, Mari.It sure would be good to have some Christmas Ideas to work on...right now, for next year, while we are all still in the Holiday Mood.

Looking out the window, yes, still snowing, I guess until around 3 or 4 this afternoon.  I'm staying put.  BBL....Anne
