Hello my name is Debbie. I live in Louisiana and I have 6 Grands. Two girls and 4 boys. I taught 2 of the boys to sew and one girl. The boys have each made a twin size quilt. I hand quilted them. The youngest was 7 when he made his. The oldest is 14 and took a life skills class at school he had to sew as part of it. this is a big boy and 6'2" and 245 lbs. his teacher did not believe he could sew but he showed her. He got an A in that class. I was so proud. I will check in later. Looking forward to seeing more things made. Have a nice day.
Just in the comment box there is a line of symbols, the second one in allows you to upload a picture. When it is done the box displays the pixel size (I think) it usually is something like 750 you need to make this smaller, about 350. I think you just follow on screen instructions after that.
Hi Vanessa and welcome . Hoping to see some of your pics in the future.
Hello all, I hope it's okay to post what we do with our grandchildren too. My granddaughter and I are working on the Craftsy 2013 BOM. We are each making our own quilt. She is eleven, so she needs help with some skills. This is what we did this weekend. I helped with the curved seams. She is using modern fabrics and I am using traditional. IT is lots of fun.
You are so right, being able to control the speed is a big piece of the success. I was lucky to be able to get an older Janome from a coworker when she purchased a new machine. It has speed control and a 1/4 foot. It made all the difference. Isn't it a blessing to be able to sew for and with our grandchildren.
Have just dived in here and seen the quilt Doreen, its gorgeous.Welcome to Frances too from a dull but warmer day in the NE of England.
Oooo, Sherri, that's pretty! Love the colors.
Lucky girls, will they abide by your decision do you think as to who gets what?
