Great job on the pillowcases girls!  I agree that pillowcases make great first time projects.  My neighbor girls spent the night here last week and one of them was using her (Santa!) pillowcase.

That slow speed on the Horizon is great for a beginner.  I have 2 other machines but neither is as user friendly, a White and a HuskyStar.  Her mom, my daughter has a Singer, I think.  I wanted to make sure her first sewing experience wasn't a frustrating one.

Sewing with granddaughters must be in the air!

Abby spent the weekend with us.  She's 6 and said that she'd like to learn to sew if I thought she was big enough.  Couldn't discourage that so we gave it a try and found that she caught on to guiding the fabric and operating the foot pedal pretty quickly.  She has a pillowcase, too, to show for her efforts -- from Hello Kitty fabric and a list of projects she wants to make next time!

For some reason, I missed all the recent activity on here.

Sherri and Donna, love the baby quilts. Great creativity.

Donna, your grandson's quilt is sweet.  Bet he'll love to feel the animals.

I love all the colors in your quilt, Sherri.  I haven't made a scrappy quilt yet but purchased "Cut the Scraps".  You cut out 3 different sized squares and make your designs from the squares or triangles.  I certainly have enough scraps to make several quilts...
