To celebrate National Quilt Month in March, Connecting Threads will offer a Mystery Quilt 2013 Quilt Along. This is our first Mystery Quilt and promises to be lots of fun for all. We think you will enjoy making this quick and versatile, three-part pattern, suitable for beginning and experienced quilters. The catch is that you won’t know what the quilt looks like until Part 3!
The finished quilt will be a lap quilt or throw, approximately 51-1/2" x 68-1/2".
You will need an additional 3-1/4 yards for a three-pieced back.
Binding - At least 250" of a continuous strip.
This would not be a good first quilt. Having said that, it is an instructional pattern. Each section is accompanied by detailed notes and photos for each step. Some of the piecing is very easy, some requires more precise work... but Ann provides many hints to help you be successful. The quilt is for a confident beginner with experience sewing 1/4" seams.

I just looked at Kathy B's site too and I don't think she'll have a bit of trouble. Maybe even give us some tips along the way!
Well, part of the gang is here! Kathy Bilotto, I just looked at your quilts on your page and WOW WOW WOW. You have some impressive things there. I especially love the big butterfly, and judging from your avatar, I'm guessing that you like butterflies. I'm with you in the not ever having done a Mystery Quilt before. But, I'm game to try it. Now to wait until Tuesday to see what Ann has come up with.
Hello all!!! I'm trying it too, and I know I have enough stash stuff to make it interesting!
OK ladies I've never done one of these. This should be interesting for me.
Hey, hi gang! :-)
Lynne, I absolutely LOVE doing mystery quilts IF they are from a good reliable designer. And you and ranchmom are totally on target...what's one more project, right? lol
Ann, watch out, we are a VERY chatty bunch. Guess you could always just send us to our cyber corners if we get too rowdy. ;-)
Oh this should be fun, Lynne I was just thinking about you as I had to help herd the Bulls into the new pen, I was thinking about your long horns, like my short horn herferds better for moving by foot I think.
