Hello Everyone! This group is for those who like primitive, not necessarily country, quilting and handwork. It is my hope that we can encourage one another in our endevours as well as swap patterns. Drop in and tell everyone what you are working on that is primitive!

Hi Janet!  I too love the feel and look of the wool applique.  My only problem is finding the time to work on it.  But now...you have given me a great idea.  Have it ready at the wait for when I am doing a machine embroidery project. Thanks for the great tip!!!

I have been sewing but not a lot of prim right now.

Trying to use up and finish some UFO's!

I finished the Irish Chain...

and others.  If you want to see what I have been up to you can visit my BLOG!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello to everyone.  My name is Janet Espeleta and I live in Boonville MO.  Waving to some of you that I already know.  I finally broke down and started doing wool applique' and now I'm wondering why I waited so long to start.  The only problem I can see is it is very "addicting".  I am almost finished with the block that was started in a class last week Saturday and will post a pic once it is finished.  I like working on this while my embroidery machine is stitching as it seems to take up less room than other handwork does.

Hello all!  Happy Monday.

This morning I made a 'wreath' for Valentine's Day for the front door.  Sort of prim-like but next time I would wrap in burlap for a better version.

I used two of those inexpensive candy canes from the dollar store and wrapped in some fabric strips...added some ribbon and a fabric bow...

IMG_20130113_081809_568.jpg This is my most recent project that I have completed.  It is a top that I pieced many months ago, so I guess it warrants the classification of a UFO. :).  My DH has already claimed this one as his.  IMG_20130113_082424_418.jpg This is another UFO that has been on and off my design board at various times.  It actually started as a project to use up scraps.  I had several more blocks made like the one lone one on the top row, and then I used them to make a bed runner for my new DIL.  Anyway, I back to this project today, mission: use up more of these scraps. :)
