Got some flowers planted outside yesterday and so enjoyed playing in the dirt.
My best friend had to put her dog down this week. That was so sad. Those little fur people are so much a part of our family. They sure leave good foot prints in our hearts. My Pekingese (Spice) is so much fun and company for me. Last night she was very barky and woke me many times. This morning I discovered what it was all about. She was chasing a fly that had the nerve to be in our space. Found my huge palm plant and a smaller plant dumped in the living room as she was trying to hunt him down. She is napping now from all the night shift work she had to do.
I got the fly so she can sleep in peace. Want to work on a Christmas project some today...yup I'm thinking ahead. Will tell you how it goes if my plan works. The Hen House is up to every Wednesday now. I love it. We call it WIng It Wednesday and the hens come at 10:00 and stay as long as they like. We do so much and talk to our hearts content. FUn is always had by all who attend. Enjoy the day. Love to all., Mary Jane

I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.
We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.
It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.
I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Hi fellow WI quilters. I have been quilting for slightly over a year and I just love it. I live in Kaukauna and have made about 5 quilts so far, one of them being king size, which turned out so nice; nice enough to make me want to do more!

Hello fellow WI quilters, My name is Sue, I love to quilt(when I can), I live north of Hwy 94 and Hwy 164. I live west of Sussex in Lisbon. I love to quilt like I said, when I can, and I knit and crochet as well. I work in Pewaukee just off of hwy 94 and Hwy 164. I go to school at night, Married for 12+ years and have a son and a moose(the dog) which is a yellow lab but he is so much like a moose:)

Happy 2012 to everyone. hope everyone had good holidays and is now looking forward to the new year.. i know i am hope to talk with quilters around this lovely state of wisconsin.. i live in green bay for now but moving to milwaukee soon..i miss my hometown but i know there arent many quilt shops down there like there are in green bay.. if anyone knows any good ones to go to let me know.. hope everyone is keeping warm and enjoying the snow.. we have only some on the ground here but very chilly out today. brrrrrrr
