In the mood for some applique and fun? A few of us at CT are making this cute quilt from the book Big fun with a little fabric.

Some of us are making the Year at a Glance Quilt in the original size and others are sizing it down to a wall hanging. Our goal is to make at least 2 blocks a month so we can put it all together and get it quilted in time to display it in January.

When you post pictures of your project on your page if you want them to be displayed in the album make sure you put in the tag YEAR!

Comment by MsDesigns on September 22, 2020 at 8:31am: I am a long time member of "Quilting With Us" (QWU). I used to give virtual workshops here. Like many others, I have ventured out as QWU became more quiet.

We are getting the warning that QWU is at risk of being disabled. I fear this is a sign that QWU will one day be no more.

It has become like family here and the thought of losing the friendships we have developed has giving me a sad heart. Like many dark clouds, there is a silver lining. When I ventured out, I created a quilters social network, much like QWU. I never mentioned it, for it was a conflict of interest. However, in this dark hour, it is time to let others know there is an alternative. It does not have to end here.

I would be honored for QWU members to join "Pattern Pastiche". If needed, we are more than happy to create a group for your new home.

Comment by Kara on January 31, 2012 at 10:41am: Hi Linda, Thank you! I reduced my pattern to an 8 x 10 and my little borders are 2.5 inches wide. I am glad I did mine separately because this wall hanging is big. This was a really fun project.

Comment by Judy/WA on January 30, 2012 at 8:12am: Tah Dah! I added seed bead ants to July and ribbons to my kite after it was quilted. Finished and ready to hang! I think I am going to hang it in my sewing room so I can enjoy it there. It feels so good to have it done!! I'll be watching your progress!
