9-patch variation. The quilt magazine said it was based on an antique quilt pattern called "Alaska Homestead."

I really, really like this one! I am a sucker for snowflakes (must be living in BUffalo)- and two color quilts.

That's a lot of snowflakes you've quilted on there! They make the quilt. How long did it take you to get this quilted? I love hand work and find quilting to be relaxing (unless I'm trying to do it while my husband's driving! lol). I've only hand quilted one queen size quilt and it took me two years. Which is probably why I keep picking things I can "doodle" quilt! Your work is lovely.

Hello Prairie Quilter,
I enjoyed your comment on the memory quilt, whether to mark each flower.
I'm curious, being from Alaska, if you know why this quilt is called Alaska Homestead? Is there a story behind that?
I also really like your page and when I get time I'll look into fixing mine up.
I love your comments about being a simple girl and all the smells you enjoy. Ditto!
