Fairy And Birds
Here's my newest art quilt. I'm still deciding on how to quilt it, but I'm happy with it. I'm going to change the colors of the birds on the next one I make to pop out more, but overall I do like this one.
I'm still stuck on a name for it - so right now it's Fairy and Birds.

Hi!
That was a pure accident! I just used a really light pink fabric and after I'd drawn out the birds and cut them out of the pink fabric, I played around with the placement on the darker purple. My original idea was to have them "pop" off the quilt, but I think I'll accentuate them only a little bit more when I quilt it. I also think what helps is that when I cut out the birds I added empty areas so that the dark purple shows more.

This is gorgeous!~ I like the way you did this. How did you get the birds to look almost translucent?
