Retired elementary PE teacher, wife, mother, grandmother that loves to quilt and crochet. I have a longarm machine that I have set up in a small bedroom and dream of the day when I can have a studio big enough to open the longarm to it's full kingsize.
I didn't make it in time for the specials but did check out that class by Karen Petersen. That looks like something I would definately be interested in. Do the classes ever change or are they the same all the time?
I couldn't find any on sale. They are all $59.99 it seems like. I will have to wait. Oh welll, I am going into my sewing studio today to work on a quilt that is on my LA. Talk at ya later. Nancy
Hi Denise, It looks like you love to do applique and you are really good at it. I bought Karen Kay Buckleys DVD on Applique. It is really good. I checked out craftsy and saw some classes I think I may sign up for. I'll let you know what I decide on.
Is that Craftsy class free. I could use more practice also. We don't have any LA quilting classes locally and I am feeling a little stuck.
I have a quilt on my LA and I am doing 3 different colors. It is all free motion. It is for my son and daughter in law and sometimes I overwhelm myself wanting to make it perfect. Oh well. Thanks for responding.
Thanks for the input on the HQ, Denise. It was an encouragement to know this is something I could figure and maintain on my own. I was also relieved to get your report on customer service. That was another concern.
I think the stitch regular is standard on the 18". I've read other reviews saying that a stitch regulator is not important, but I'm not sure I'd have the control needed to get an even stitch.
Thanks again! I'll let everyone know if/when I take the plunge. :) PQ
Sorry Denise I just saw your note on my page. I hope you are much better now and back home. I am sure we will get to meet on one of your trips to NH. Please take care of you.
