Retired elementary PE teacher, wife, mother, grandmother that loves to quilt and crochet. I have a HQ longarm machine that I was able to set up for a king size quilt since moving into our new home with my very own quilting studio. Have way too many UFO's that need to be finished and can now do it. YEA!
Good morning Denise, how nice to see you sitting in my mail box this morning. How amazing, we drove so near to where you are, oh we did enjoy it, I cannot imagine doing it again. We went to USA every year for over 20 years, when we had some property in Florida, we travelled all over and loved it, we met some amazing people too. That was before I became addicted to patchwork, pity. It is always a pleasure to meet up with like minded friends, the same would apply to you if you are ever at this side of the world, do let me know. Well I had better start the day, my grand daughter is in the final of the netball tournament today so am going to do the cheering. Hey have said she has lots of potential for playing for the county, she is very sporty in many directions. Look forward to chatting again.
Hi Denise, lovely to see you on board. Your work is lovely, I must find out how to put pics on this site. We drove to Manassas I think that was the battlefield that we visited on one of the many USA adventures we have had. Lovely part of the country. So different to where I come from. Bye for now, Marianne
I didn't make it in time for the specials but did check out that class by Karen Petersen. That looks like something I would definately be interested in. Do the classes ever change or are they the same all the time?
Hi Denise, It looks like you love to do applique and you are really good at it. I bought Karen Kay Buckleys DVD on Applique. It is really good. I checked out craftsy and saw some classes I think I may sign up for. I'll let you know what I decide on.
Is that Craftsy class free. I could use more practice also. We don't have any LA quilting classes locally and I am feeling a little stuck.
I have a quilt on my LA and I am doing 3 different colors. It is all free motion. It is for my son and daughter in law and sometimes I overwhelm myself wanting to make it perfect. Oh well. Thanks for responding.
Thanks for the input on the HQ, Denise. It was an encouragement to know this is something I could figure and maintain on my own. I was also relieved to get your report on customer service. That was another concern.
I think the stitch regular is standard on the 18". I've read other reviews saying that a stitch regulator is not important, but I'm not sure I'd have the control needed to get an even stitch.
Thanks again! I'll let everyone know if/when I take the plunge. :) PQ
