My first design project

A few months ago, some of us got together to brainstorm about introducing some new contemporary projects to Connecting Threads. We each came up with a project to design and offer on the site as a free pattern! It's so neat, it's the first thing I've ever designed that someone else has made.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and The Bus. This is such a great site. I am a new at it and thanks to my un-fed computer skills I stumble on going to people's pages and see some of their work. All skill levels show me one thing that I truly needed and now love. Colors placements! I have been quilting for some time and found my fabrics buys were all starting to look the same. Different blocks but WHY do my quilts all look the same. So, I stumble on seeing others work, how they put color matches together. Wow, is the word you hear me say a lot lately. It has given to me a fresh start. I join a club and like peanuts I join another. One came with a book that most of the blocks I have done. But, I order the book to do them in my new found color blends and matches I have found in the many pages on this site. Thrill to look at my fabric with new eyes. Meeting a nice group of gals so far. Must have some guys there too. Well, let me get back to my color wheel, or should I say color mouse. Give the dog a kiss for me and Happy Quilting.
