I've been quilting for most of my life, but it seems I'm always looking for that perfect marking tool.
What is your favorite marking tool, or pencil, or pen, or whatever to use when you're quilting?

I have found the most wonderful lotion to use on my hands and I can use it while I'm quilting!! It smells lovely, it makes my hands feel soft, and best of all it absorbs immediately and leaves absolutely no oily residue so I can immediately go back to my handwork.
The name of it is simply GRAPES (because that's what it's made from) and the website is: www.vcgrapes.com .
It's not cheap, but well worth the price.
A word…

Your page looks like winter has really arrived there we not had any snow just heavy frost here so far
Hugs Janice
Not looking forward t snow at all! Is that a cardinal I see at the far edge of this center column?
I just noticed that the cat pattern was in the 1997 issue of McCalls Quilting.
Yes, this certainly has been a strange winter. It scares me to think what the summer holds for us. About the quilt pattern, it was in an old McCalls quiIting magazine but I downloaded it free, so we'll see if I can explain to you how I got it. I never could get it for my neice but just now I found it. Search 'free stairway to cat heaven pattern.' Find a website called sewgirls.com/quilting/Stairway-to-Cat-Heaven-pattern. If you try to just put that in, it will come up page not found. Copy and paste the first link and it will take you to it. If you can't get it, I will gladly send it to you. I had mine decreased at Copy Co. by 40% and it turned out close to 30" by 30". Let me know how you do and good luck......
I love your page. I should have you do mine for me. Every season is special in its own way. Hope you are having a reat new year.
I always look forward to seeing what you have on your page. I'm like you, I love winter!
Annie, love your page. You did a great job. Just came on QWU and it is the first time I have been on for ages. I thought I would check in tonight - Christmas Eve. Brent is sleeping in his chair, Mom is doing Sudoku and I am on the computer. It is exciting eh? I guess that is what you call an old folks Christmas Eve.
I love your page, Annie. It's always fun to see what you have. I'm not that talented to set up my page like that. For once, I, too, am almost completely ready for Christmas. The cards aren't out yet, but gifts are bought and almost all are wrapped. I still have a wallhanging to finish, but this is the most enjoyable time I have ever had 2 weeks before Christmas. The stress level is down to almost zero concerning being ready. Some years I have sworn that I wouldn't be done in time, but it always seemed to work out. I'll start my baking in another week and am looking forward to it. My dgd loves to help decorate cookies and eat them as well. I hope you have a very Happy Holiday..........
Annie,
Sounds like you have a nice view. Enjoy. It's 9 degrees and snowing here. Keeping warm at my sewing machine and iron. Making a civil war doll quilt.
Judy
Thank you Annie for inviting me to be your friend. It's my pleasure.
