LOL!!!! That was a very interesting and clever idea on the tools. I have done that recently and he hasen't said much on my sewing anymore. I am working on my disability right now and with any luck i will bet it and then i can play in the sewing room as much as i want!!! and all the money i might make will all be extra!!!
Hey, I have been trying to get on the QIAD Forum & it's blocked for some reason? Haven you heard anything about this? I sure haven't! Get back to me when you can, try getting on the site, if you haven't lately, & you will see what I mean...
Thanks for the kind comments, Linda. My first sewing machine was a Kenmore also and it was a wedding gift from my fist husband in 1969. I loved that machine and used it until I think about 1993 when I purchased an Elna. That was a nice machine also but I gave it away when I purchased my Brother.
My step-daughter does surveys for people who are moving so the moving company can estimate how much the move will cost. On one of her travels this elderly man asked her if she sewed or if she knew someone who could use a sewing machine. He just gave it to her and she gave it to me. It's a Kenmore that was built between 1969-1971. Just a basic machine. The bobbins are different than my Brother so I have to buy some bobbins and perhaps a few presser feet but it looks like a nice machine.
I finally got it! The little camera in the box where you make comments - that's what you use - it takes you to browse and you find the pics on your computer - then hit "Add" and it adds the pics but you don't see them - you see words... and symbols... and then when you add comment it will show everyone the pics rather than the words...lol....
I'm enjoying the teals... in some ways they don't seem to go together but when they are all done, I'm hoping they match up well... I think the borders and sashing will bring it all together - using creams, whites, beiges, browns, teals, etc.... we'll see. I may end up with three quilts out of this...lol
I don't know how much I'll be at this site. It's hard to maneuver around in and it will take me a while to figure it out since I don't have much time to dedicate to it. I sure wish I was computer smart!
