About Me
I started sewing in grade school, but the quilting "bug" didn't bite me until 1994. It was then that I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and my "world" as I knew it took a drastic change. All the very active things I had done for so many years essentially stopped. God blessed me with new things that I could do, quilting being the main one. With it and with my health challenge God also provided some wonderful friends I would otherwise never have met. I've tried several methods of quilting, enjoying each one. In 2010 the art quilt bug hit me and especially through the encouragement of the Love of Art Quilts group here on QWU I am finding myself focusing mostly on that area of quilting. I also do totes and purses and love making things for my granddaughter Bailey.

I was the full time caregiver of my parents for several years. Dad died in 2010 and in early 2012 we moved Mom to a dementia care facility as she was needing more care than I could give her alone. I am now eager to see what God has in store for me next, and where it will be.

When not quilting I love Teas, both giving them and going to them; Chocolate - especially DARK; the ocean (I love God's creation); photography; riding my bike; laughter; being with my family and friends; and walking daily with God at my side (or carrying me in his arms).

BJ so sorry to hear about your mom. I have been going thru similar things with my parents,,, dad in the hospital 3 time between Feb 20 and Mar 13,, had a pacemaker installed sent to rehab till April 5, now home alone.  Mom went into the hospital on March 8, sent to rehab on the 13th,, released to a nursing home on April 17.  She has early stages of dementia and stage 3 congested heart failure.  She turned 93 in April, and they celebrate 69 years in April.   Sometimes I don't know if I am coming or going!!

Miss Bailey looks great in her new sundress.  I have one DGD that would wear dresses,, the other one is not into them, at all!!! I just don't want to make them anymore, besides the 3 1/2 year old DGS that lives with us, takes up to much of our time.

I hope their new business is very successful. There would be a lot of call for that sort of business in the Phoenix area I would think.

Hmm..BJ, my family lived in Oklahoma from 1948 to 1953.  You and your sister look a bit like me and mine -- except I was the oldest, and there were no brothers!
