I started sewing/quilting a little over 3 years ago. I am so hooked! You're in the pretty section of TN. We are in West TN. Bartlett is a suburb of Memphis. I haven't joined a guild as of yet. My mom did about a year ago and I am blown away at all she has learned. You're doing a terrific job! Happy Sewing
I've enjoyed looking at your creations. You are doing a super job! I have cut the fabric for the 1st four blocks on the Southern Stars but haven't begun sewing yet. Your blocks are beautiful! Just wanted to stop by and say hello.
Beth, I just love that white pillow on your site. That is just beautiful. For a new quilter you are pretty good. If that was a picture of your sewing room I wish mine looked that good. Mine looks like a sweat shop in a third world country. I try to clean it and then I start a project and it is trashed again. I am going to try to put some pictures up on the site if I can figure it out. I can not wait for spring I am so tired of snow already. Have a great day and hope to talk to you again soon.
I just saw your blocks they are beautiful. I love the purples. You did a fantastic job. Nothing has changed since this morning except some of the new ones have not been added yet. Mine are on there. They are done in civil war fabric and they are also on my page. I like the blues and browns together. I love your purples too. Purple is one of my very favorite colors
I am sorry I am just now getting back to you, I have been at the ER with my 7 year old grandson who has double pneumonia. I just got home a few minutes ago. He is going to be fine but we were very concerned about him this afternoon when the doctors office called an ambulance to take him to Vanderbilt ER. They gave him a very powerful shot of antibiotic and oxygen and by the time we left his oxygen level was back to normal and his fever was way down so they let him go home. Praise the Lord.
Ok the blocks, go to the Southern stars Block of the Month Quilt Along and then when you get there click on the discussion that says Blocks 1 and 2 here. Now they are coming up, just them without the comments attached. That is really neat. You get to see all of them. I hope nothing has changed since I was on there this morning. I haven't had a chance to look yet as your comment was the 1st one I am answering. Let me know if you got there. Linda
I see you found your fabric - your blocks are very pretty!
I usually stress a little when picking fabric - you'd think it would be the fun part. Maybe its because too often I am trying to browse a quilt shop with a 2 and 4 yr old in tow! This time I cheated a little and bought fabrics from Connecting Threads where the matching is done for you! I went with blues and tans because I am going to give this quilt to my Father in Law who is not well and is always cold.
It looks like you have a nice sewing space too. I have to share the kitchen/dining room table with the rest of the house! LOL
