Come visit my humble and feeble blog! I don't get much time to tend to it (poor neglected thing) but it is always there, faithful and waiting....I post give-aways from time to time and my random thoughts....

Hello lovely Quilters!
I have been MIA here at QWU due to life....our little family has been so busy, I'm lucky to find time to quilt at all! But, since it has been all good things, I am very thankful to just be busy living out life's blessings. God knows I've had times of "other" business that is just painful so I'll take this season any day! :)
I could really use some input from you ladies. I purchased a Husqvarna Viking Sapphire 875 in 2013. Biggest mistake of ALL…

I know this is a stretch and I'm just throwing this out there. I am looking to start a charity in my area for baby quilts for moms who have experienced infant loss. I lost a baby between my oldest and middlest boys and it was a very difficult time for me. I have met so many other moms who have experienced loss at different stages of pregnancy and the devastation that it brings. For many of them while at the hospital, if they are earlier than 20wks, they cannot "officially" name their…

Hello again my fabulous quilting friends! Thank you all so much for giving me so much input along the way with my growing as a quilter! It's so exciting to get responses from you all and boy, do you all know your stuff!
I need some help with what to charge for a project. I am not the world's best quilter by any stretch so this wall-hanging is not that great as some. The finish quilting is going to be very simple as I cannot do more than that. I haven't learned how to FMQ yet to…

Hi Beth, Hope your doing well. We are very excited to be our new home, here in North Carolina. it is so quiet.
How is the job for Jeff coming along and did you do the self job yet,, the business? Hope your doing well with the boys. I'll miss my friends, for sure....
hi Beth, Do you want to give me a call.? I am sick again, this time w/ an infection.
I am out of work for the next week anyway...Joanna
I love my new machine so far. The dealer is supposed to have a "how to use class" but are slow in scheduling the class. I signed up for a free motion class May 21; wish I could have the other class first. Learning the basics from the book is easy but using all the stitches, etc is harder. My favorite part of the new is the new Koala cabinet I also purchased; it has a back extension which is great for quilting a quilt. Longer "neck" is also great when quilting; a few inches sure makes a difference. Happy quilting!
Yeah we both have been suffering with some sort of pain,,I have had the BAD BUGGIE,,,sometimes called the flu,,but it took me 3 days to over come,,but I am still dizzy and having trouble keeping things down. It lasted for 12 hrs every hr on the hours,,,UGH,!! Spent 2 days in bed and I just got up this morning. I may hav e bed sores LOL! What kind of hair product did you use? some of them can be pretty tricky.
I do think of you often and still need to get together,,but it doesn't seem to be any time...
Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you for your nice comments on my photo's. I appreciate your compliments..
I am a early budding quilter. Weaving is my LOVE. I will see you both here at Newbies and Weave Along.
The reason I can't find the address to the Pa. places is that I moved them to a folder...When we went to NC,,this past February....but now I can't seem to locate the other folder, with everything in it...Why did I move it? UGH!!! Enjoy your fabric,,you need to tell it has a good home.. Enjoy it..!! Joanna
Hi Bethany,,,good to hear from you,,boy have we got some catching up to do..I can't believe how this life of ours has come full circle and your in our life,,not kidding,,what state did you say you came from? NC,,or SC ??? wait until you hear this!!! our lives has been pretty crazy, with all that is going on,,,I am still sewing and I am not sure about my sewing machine,,I haven't decided to sell it yet..I did clean my sewing room,,but have to think very carefully about how much to sell and how much to give away...Work has gotten my life away from my life the way it was..I would like to be giving classes again but not sure about our schedules...have to be taking on a regular basis. Call em on Friday,,but make it later on about 4-7pm I have a class I am taking and will be there most of the day..in Lisbon, ct. My quilts are very simple and would be a big help if you could do some of them for me...You could use my fabrics if you needed too...Tomorrow is going to be hard for me,,we are having a showing for the house,,trying to sell it again....I have the morning off but we have to be out of the house and going out for breakfast then off to work for me and then him in bed...how about Friday night are you available for dinner,,maybe we can get together and meet some where,,I get home after 4PM...call me,,,we like to go to rt 12 pizza....all 7 of us...
How are you? things going better? how is the quilting coming along? I am doing so many baby quilts,,I think I am going slow down a bit,,,...Do you still want to help? I sure need it...I have some fabric if you want some...call me.
Go on "Hearts and faces." we will have to get a picture and tell them what we have in common, it is going to be a story book...Joanna
