- About Me
- I am 52 years old, retired from the Post Office. I have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. I also have a step daughter, however step never came into our relationship so I guess I have a daughter also. I live in the country, I have 2 horses that I enjoy riding, I like gardening and feeding the animals, wild and tame. I also have chickens. My sons all derby in the summer, so I go and watch them smash up cars for a afternoon. My grandchildren play ball during the summer so I am busy watching them at the ball games. I enjoy going to auctions and of course quilt shops. Who can pass up a bargain??? Not Me.. I am the President of my churches Ladies Auxilliary. Our church is 105 years old this year. 4 years ago we started having Sunday School and Bible School it had been over 30 yrs since we had Sunday School and 40 years since we had Bible School in our church. The children are coming back and that is great for our church and the community. In the winter months you can catch me in my sewing room 24/7. I get several things made throughout the winter. I enter my quilts in the county fairs and sometimes enter one in the Iowa State Fair.

Hi Everyone, First Timer
Hi my name is Betty, I live in Southern Iowa in a little town of Murray. I have never blogged before so this is really new to me. I have only been quilting about 2 years now. Sure wish I would of gotten into this great hobby before I retired. I get to quilting and that's all I want to do. Sometimes in the mornings, I put in a hat the following items to do today.
