Good morning Bonnie. Where are you today? You said you were an RVer so I'm wondering if you are travelling at the moment. Do you find it hard to keep on task with your quilting when you are travelling? Are you finished your French braid quilt yet?

Hi Bonnie. I have been a long time sewer, sewing wedding, bridesmaid and children's dresses. I made more of my daughters clothes when they were going up but now they are too fussy. I hope to sew for my grandkids, one boy, Benjamin(age 2 1/2) and 2 girls, Nova Grace ( 1 year) and Naomi Ayana (a year in March). I've always liked sewing for kids. Quilting is my new passion & have been doing this for about 8 years.
My youngest daughter picked out the name for Stuffy, our old Persian cat. She said it reminded her of a stuffed cat. Pies was actually named when the Edmonton Oilers were in the playoffs a few years ago. I said I would name him after the first Oiler who scored. That was Fernando Pisani. I guess his teammates call him Pies for short so that's what we call our 2nd cat (sometimes we call him Mr. Pies). Ranger belongs to my middle daughter who moved into a condo & so we thought it wouldn't be fair for him to be locked away all day. He loves to go outside. My daughter is a Park Ranger and she found him in a vagrant site and brought him home. All my girls have a soft spot for animals but my middle one (Jayme) loves animals the most. She is volunteering at the local SPCA to walk, groom and love the animals there. She'll be good for them and vice versa.

Hi Bonnie. My new project is one that I started last year. It is a photo quilt for my baby granddaughter who is one year old now. It is called Funky Monkey by Alex Anderson but I am using fabric by Benartex called Parisian Cat. It will be dark chocolate brown, cream, green and pink. The back will be a greem flannel. I really do want to get started on it but our kitchen reno's are holding me up. Tomorrow I get my counter top installed. Then we need to get the gas cooktop hooked up and I will be ready to go. It's been over a month since I've done any stovetop cooking.
I googled French braid quilt as I didn't know what you were talking about. WOW! What colors are you using, how big and do you intend to quilt it yourself? I hope you post a picture when it is done-I'd love to see it.

Hey Bonnie. You are where I`d like to be right now-RETIRED! I have lots of projects that can keep me busy too.
Right now I work FT as a medical secretary in a hospital. Originally it was posted as a .6 3 days a week which would have been perfect but then they got funding for a FT position and they asked me to really consider it as it was a fairly new clinic & I had experience starting up a congestive heart failure clinic. This new clinic has to do with MS. We try to make sure that patients with MS always are on top of receiving coverage for their drugs. To date, we have about 800+ patients in our clinic alone, with new ones being added every day.
So, when I get a chance to quilt, I usually land up burning the candle at both ends, especially when I`m on a roll. As a matter of fact, I hope to get into my sewing room with the hour. I haven`t sewn since Christmas & I`m itching to get at it. I bought myself another project to complete today after saying that I wasn`t going to buy anymore. I guess I shouldn`t go into any fabric stores if I don`t want that to happen.
How about you. Are you working on anything at the moment. Are you travelling around right now. I hope you are someplace exquisitely warm. I, on the other hand, in a place that gets winter for about 5-6 months of the year. The past few months have been brutal but for the last 2 days we`ve had some nice weather.
Well, I really should go as I have laundry to fold. Housework is always there and needs most of my attention. I dream of having a housekeeper, cook and gardner but alas, that is me at the moment. Take care and have fun living the dream. Grace
