About Me
Hi everyone, I think this is so wonderful! I belong to a quilting guild called Quilter's of the Hudson Highlands. I have been quilting for quite a while and just love my quilting life. I have children near and far, friends near and far, a husband and work part time ( a good full life) but only my quilting sisters complete it. Has anyone heard of a quilting pattern called Kentucky Waltz?

Oh Boy!!! but it was made with love and one of my grandchildren still keeps it.My husband turned one of the small bedrooms into a "dining room" which immediately became my quilting place. The only time I have to hide things is on holidays, which means (as you all well… Continue

Hi jan Was so excited to hear from you yes the winter is getting long March seems to be the worst . We missed the snow went south of us was a close call. They let all the schools out early just in case then nothing happened here. Glad to hear you are still on the bus job. We have had a really busy winter this year at work and the summer looks even busier. I have been working on Downy Quilts and crossstiching another picture of my friend grandson for her. Other wise nothing to exciting going on here. I promise to keep in better touch. monica

Hi Jan.   Glad that all is ok.  It has really been a tough winter and I can't wait for it to be over.  I haven't done a lot of sewing either, unfortunately.  My Mom is suffering from congestive heart failure and the past months have been difficult for my sisters and me.  Some good news though, my daughter and son-in-law are expecting their first baby and my first grandbaby in July  -- a girl.  Did finish putting the binding on a baby quilt that I started years ago for the baby to use when she's here.  I'm also starting to work on a baby quilt using 30's fabric and a pattern from Alex Anderson called "Crackers".  Hopefully will post pics soon.  Unfortunately, no flowers here yet.  As a matter of fact the snow is flying as I type grrr!  Take care and talk to you soon.  Judy

Jan, no worries...you wouldn't know if I were a beginner or not so that's okay. I have been a quilter since 1973 (on and off, in between raising children and a career). Now I can devote most of my time to quilting and am loving it! I actually used to stay at the Hampton Inn in Newburgh when I was in the area for business.
