Thank you for letting me join and a little info to get to know me.

Thank you all for letting me join the differernt groups I am interested in. I am a 46 y/o single stay-at-home Mom to three young men. Michael who will be 21 next Sat, Thomas who is 18 and a Freshman at Vincennes University and my baby 17 y/o Brian who is a high school senior.
I had worked for 21 years with the USDA until personal differences with a new boss and my health contributed with me no longer being at a job I loved.
I learned to sew and quilt from my Grandma when I was a little girl. I have painted a quilt top, paper & regular pieced, made a few T-shirt quilts and other techniques . I mainly machine quilt with my regular sewing machine. But I do have hand work going all the time too. I want to improved my needleturn applique and English paper piecing and have all of these ideas and patterns I want to make. (Sound familiar)

Thanks Again for letting me join.

No worries about the patterns! At first I was thinking there was an active link for just the drawings, but then I read the part about her taking them off the website after the book was published, so realized that was not the case. I started a new job (contract thru the end of the year), so may ask Santa (DH) for the Sampler book. Thanks for answering! Anna

Saw where you said you downloaded the 'Sampler' patterns -- what is that link please? No job now, so can't splurge on quilting books, tools, etc. any more for a while, but I'd love to have the patterns. Like you, I'm trying to hit my (tiny) stash for the Sampler blocks.

Carol--I'm so glad your neighbor passed his mother's quilt frame on to you. No quilter would want her frame to sit gathering dust. You have a lovely idea for saying thank you. You have your hands full with your three boys. I have two--a boy 21, who is a senior at a university about an hour and a half away, and a girl 18, who just started college about 4 hours away. I miss them both a great deal but am finding far more time to quilt, so I guess God is bringing a blessing to me ;). Have a great day--good to have you in the Quilt Frame.

Welcome to "Scrap Bags". We're happy you have joined us. Right now I think everyone is in holiday craft mode. We will be starting a new challenge to get rid of those scraps in January. Happy Scrappy Quilting!

Hi Carol:
Welcome to the Quilt Frame. It is so exciting for me every morning to open up the "mailbox" and see new quilters have joined us. Hard to believe in such a short time we have become a group of 122. WOW! Anyway you will find quilters here from all walks of life and at each end of the learning curve - and of course we never stop learning. This site has truly become just like an old-fashioned quilt frame. Picture all of us sitting around it, swapping stories and sharing ideas and comments. So glad you have decided to join us. Joyce
