I have another pattern that has just been published in a magazine.
"May Baskets" is a tribute to many of my favorite spring flowers, and a memory of sharing them with friends and neighbors on the first day of May.

Hi Cat Lady,
My Hubby had some heart surgery as well recently. He had a pacemaker installed and had a valve replaced with a bovine valve. He just sailed through the 2 procedures and we were very thankful. I hope that your Hubby did well too. I quilt some every day - but not as much as I used to.

I love the Roman Stripe pattern, too. If I were going to hand quilt it, I wouldn't like it to be foundation pieced, as this one was. I think I'd just sew strips and deal with the bias edges. They'd be paired with the straight of grain triangle piece next to it, so I don't think it would be a problem. I would like to make a grown-up version with truer rainbow colors for our bed. Another bucket-list quilt. (sigh). :)
