it has been a long few months. I have had problems with my computer so took it down to the bare nessities. but she crashed any how. so now a new compter and a few months later I am back up and running!

It has been a pretty busy week for me and it is not over yet! when it rains it pours and this is one of those weeks. in the meantime, in between this and that I did manage to finish my latest project. it is another mini and is fusable applique. it is a bit rough in spots, espicially the machine free motion. still getting used to that! in the mean time, the "blocks" are 3 1/2 " and the leaves them selves comes to about 3" have never done applique this small. was going to do hand applique on…Continue
Just finished my latest Mini. this one is 11x14 including the boarder. yes it is PP. I used a pattern of Carol Doaks and there were d14 pieces to each of the quarter blocks. a lot smaller than I am used to! might of bitten off more than I could chew, but got 'er done this morning. I am really really starting to like the looks of the black for the back grounds. it really sets the colors off quite a bit better.

It has been a few very busy weeks up here! the weather has finially started to turn for the better and I have been outside quite a bit. but have still managed to get some sewing in! I am trying my hand at mini's now and am posting a few pics of them. two of them were paper pieces and the other was not. you can tell the differance. at least I can!

This is a picture of my first needle turn applique project! I sketched out the leaves from a very old pattern. it was pretty slow going at first, but got quicker as I got used to the technique. I also used my free motion foot to go around the leaves and do the "veins" for a first go I think that it came out pretty good ( yes, am patting myself on the back) the blocks are only 8" so you can get a good idea on how big it is.
