I live in rural Iowa, about 20 miles west of Des Moines. I LOVE quilting. I have 2 living children and 1 with the Lord. I have 9 grandchildren and have made each of them round one of quilts - some are too big for the quilts I made. I have made 5 memory T-shirt quilts from our dear Amanda's clothes - 2 for her children, 2 for our living children and 1 for a spouse!! Can't be partial!! I've been married to the same man for 42 years. I recently was able to find a used longarm machine and am using it as often as I can.=-08751

Celia, I hope you had fun at the show! I am hopppy that I live close to my sis, too, and that we both quilt. Being a Navy Wife for 20 years, I longed to live close to her so we could play and quilt! Oh we weren't quilters then, but we just wanted to be able to do things together. Now we can, it is sew much fun.
Oh I just saw your pumpkin, it is sew cute! Prairie points! What a great idea. I love halloween quilts.
Hi Celia- Glad you are a member of the Iowa Quilters! It's a fun, lovable, helpful, and intelligent group of ladies! Will you be at the AQS in DM next week? If so, look for the gals wearing pink shirts and pink tiaras/hats because that will be us Iowa Quilters! :)
Here's wishing you a big, ol' WELCOME to our group! YeeHaw- let the good times roll!
Hi Celia, it was nice to meet you last week. I hope you plan to join us on Tuesday and Wednesday night during AQS show. Love to get a chance to visit with you more. When you asked me what I teach I went completely "brain dead", but I did a different class every single month for the last year @ Lucas so I MUST teach more than "several types of applique".....LOL .... shows how my brain is when I'm in a "zone". Have a great week Celia.
Hey, Celia, I love love love that jacket in your post pic!!!!! Welcome aboard lady, this group of ladies are amazing. I have been a member for just a few weeks and still getting onto the jargon and learning names, but I tell you they are great. Also happy late bday.
