I'm a 50 something homemaker with a 17 year old daughter and a wonderful husband. I've been sewing since the age of 6, but I didn't start quilting until 1994. It's a good thing I started quilting late otherwise I'd never have learned to do anything else.
I love hand embroidery and making totes also.

Would Someone Please Start A..............

I know we have a lot of groups here, 88 groups actually. I noticed that we don't have a group for those of us who quilt on domestic machines. I would love to see someone start one so that those of us still struggling could benefit from those of you who are more advanced!
Won't someone please take up the challenge? Some of us, uh I could use your help! I would start it but I already have two groups (Scrap Bags and In Love With Strings) so I don't think I could manage a third.

You are so welcome!! I had a lot of fun with this exchange - I loved creating the "house" block - wonky (as in a gazillion seams) doesn't do it for me!!
I did already thank you for yours, right? If not, thanks!! Love them!! I almost used that same background fabric in my star blocks!! I have also received Norma's blocks - still waiting for Mary and Chris.

Thank you for that information, sometimes in the pictures it is a little unclear about things like thickness, (my eyes are not what they used to be) :) but I thought it looked like they were a little padded...they were very pretty and I am sure that everyone who received one, enjoys it very much...Have a great day...

Hello Char; I have a pretty busy week this week, however I will get on the site and start the group. Have any suggestions what we could call ourselves, Let me know, the looks of this week it probable will have to be Wed or Thursday evening when I can get in there and really think, if you know what I mean.

Hi Char - Just joined the group and saw your lovely quilts and totes. They are so colorful and vibrant. I am embarassed to say that I have tried making totes and always have trouble when I sew the lining on the bag and turn the bag inside out - always seem to get it wrong. Any pointers uyou could give me. Do you sell the bags?
Also looking at your string quilts makes me want to go down to my sewing room and start my own string quilt. They are great. Anyway I'll check back often if it's okay with you. Diana

I am down to the finish line on this little quilt... almost, that is. I like 4 more blocks. I hope to give it to my G-Granddaughter for her 5th birthday, which is March 8. (I don't like tight deadlines! ha)
