I am an avid quilter. Retired for a few years now and have the time to indulge myself. I own a Tin Lizzie and a Bernina but love hand piecing and quilting above all else - it just takes time ! I have just finished a quilt and now have another (Grandmother's flower garden) in progress. It is entirely English paper pieced and I am hand quilting it (without a frame) The other was not quilted with a hoop/frame either.

Cheryl, wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all meet eh? What an awesome bunch of people. I am telling you that all my praying friends on QWU got me through my DH's surgery with such peace. God was and is sooo good, even when we don't deserve it. Often it is oh you of little faith as I seem to have no faith at times and yet people praying and God interceding and the peace comes. It was just totally amazing. We have so much to be thankful for. Don't know if you have Thanksgiving in S. Africa or not. I just found out that UK do not have it. Too bad. Have a great weekend. This weekend is our quilting weekend.
Love being your friend...you do beautiful work...we are celebrating Thanksgiving day here today....We cook big meals with all the special foods and indulge...at least some of us....turkey, vegetables and of course those wonderful desserts....I am sure there is a variation but basically we give 'thanks' . I have lots to be thankful for...my health and hubby, my children and grand and great grandchildren...those are the important things to me...you have a wonderful day...
