Hope you have a great day.

What kind of costumes are you making for your Grandchildren? Right now I don't have a project going but will probably start one in the next couple of days. I just finished up a sweatshirt jacket that I appliqued and embrodiered by hand. I love the way it turned out.
I will Cheryle as I don't think there is anything harder than trying to make one pattern out of two. (ha). Looking forward to seeing pictures when you get done.
Hi Cheryle, I am a quilter also and also have started after retirement. My mom was a traditional quilter without a machine stitch in her quilts. We have many of them to remember her by. I am working on a bunch of quilts at one time. Right now I am machine quilting a small quilt that has beach umbrellas on it. I bought the pattern a few years back and decided it was time to work on it. I also had bought all the fabric at the same time. I like doing the smaller quilts as I sometimes will hand quilt them. They want so much money to quilt them in the stores and I do not have that kind of income. My friend sends her quilts down to Arkansas to be quilted as it is cheaper to have them quilted down there.
I am also working on a spread that I bought the fabric from Connecting threads and I love how it is turning out.
Now about me, I am retired and live in Homer Glen. I have no pets but I feed the birds so I feel that I have many pets, I just don't have to clean up after them. I kind of live in the country on three acres but I am not far from shopping, etc.
Would you like to correspond? I would love to have a friend that would understand quilting. My name is Pat Triska
