This is the first time I've been on this site in - well - years.. Thank you for your friendly comments. I have moved from Spring Hill to Wesley Chapel and there are several nice quilt shops in the Tampa Area. Dade City has an especially nice one. If you go plan to stay the day and visit all the antique shops. Nice tea room in Dade City too.
Hi Christine. I've just been kind of poking my head in briefly and then back our over the last couple to weeks. It's been a very tough time for my family. 4/25 my uncle passed away after a long illness and on 5/4 my DSIL passed away after a long battle with a very insidious form of Parkinsons. Then at 6 this a.m. I get a call that another of my uncles has been rushed to the hospital. My one sister is there now and I'll head over shortly. However I did have a peaceful Mother's Day. My daughter who is going to be a first time mother in July brought over bagels and we had a small breakfast and then a little later my sisters and I along with our mother had a nice brunch and then I had a quiet afternoon.
Sorry about your trip to Paducah. I was aware of the problem following them on Facebook. More $$ to spend next year or on your trip at the end of the month. The flooding all around has been awful. Nothing to compare with what the middle of the country is dealing with. Talk to you soon. Judy
Is there room in your suitcase for me when you go to Paducah. That has been my dream for a very long time. Up until last year there was never a national quilt show in the northeast. My quilting buddy and I went to the AQS show in Lancaster last year. it was absolutely overwhelming. I was very good and didn't spend my life savings. However, we were overcome at the beauty of all the quilts. But as you say, the vendors are beyond whatever we are able to see locally. Maybe next year. ENJOY!!!
