I got my quilt done today I stayed up all night last night doing the binding and adding the sleeve. Then after a short nap I finished the label and adding the embellishments on the front. The quilt is called " Going Back to Green" I had alot of fun making it. Now I have to make some House blocks for a swap, I'm hoping by the time I get them done my package of EPP will be here so I can start on the… Continue

Hi Cleary,
Sounds like a busy time for you. I have had those spells in my life where I didn't quilt for years at a time but I seem to have settled down for awhile.
I never made it to the quilt show. Maybe next year. You and I live about 130 from one another as I am 100 miles south of Daytona just off 95.
Once I get myself up out of this chair and motivated I will sew the last row on the pinwheel quilt I've been laboring over. I finally got in the groove and figured out what it was that was key to doing it right but I'm too embarassed to put it in writing here for the world to see my admission. It's a real duh! But I'm pleased with the result even if the first half of the quilt is a little rough.
I'm a bit of a slow learner, I'm afraid.
So what I've been telling myself is when I finish this quilt top I will rearrange my tiny sewing room (it's too humble to call it a studio) and attempt to make it more efficient. All the while I was working on this quilt I've been planning it out in my head. It will never be tidy- no room that small could ever be but it should be an improvement.
Nice to hear from you again!

Well, Hi Cleary! I visited your page and I LOVE you! Only a gal after my own heart would be brazen enough to bare her sewing room to any quiltzillas out there lurking about. Not that they're here but you never know. Your space looks just like mine.
Glad to know we share common interests but oh no, no. I have to clear up a misconception. My thumb is definitely brown. You have no idea the cases of negligent planticide i'm guilty of.
What I want to know is how you got your page fuschia? I'm still trying to work out how to get the camera focused enough to take pictures and get them over to the computer. I might be creative but I'm a techno-dunce.
How long have you been in Florida?
I've been here since march'07 and am just now getting around to scouting out local quilt shops. I haven't really had a need since inheriting a virtual quilt shop from my Mom but I need to find a Long Arm quilter to finish her tops. I found a shop in Rockledge when I went online about 48 miles north of here. On their site they posted a quilt show in Titusville Feb. 20-21. If I'm not mistaken, that's in your neck of the wood isn't it?
Renee
